Full Job Description
Tech Lead, Engineering for Trader Interactive LLC to report to our HQ location in Virginia Beach, VA and may work remotely.
  • Provide technical direction and leadership for engineering teams delivering complex product initiatives.
  • Drive day-to-day technical execution, ensuring work well scoped, prioritized, and aligned with business and technical goals.
  • Design, implement, and test high-quality, scalable solutions across multiple languages and frameworks.
  • Ensure technical documentation created and maintained, including design docs, system flows, and operational guides.
  • Develop and maintain technical project plans, including timelines, milestones, dependencies, and resource considerations.
  • Collaborate with Product and stakeholders to define requirements, success criteria, and delivery priorities.
  • Ensure systems owned by team have appropriate monitoring, logging, and alerting in place, considering performance and cost.
  • Lead efforts to improve system observability, proactively identifying trends, anomalies, and reliability risks.
  • Regularly review system health metrics and dashboards to maintain high standards of uptime and performance.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts during production incidents, guiding teams through resolution and prevention.
  • Ensure CI/CD pipelines support safe, repeatable deployments (testing, rollback, automation).
  • Partner closely with Product Managers, Designers, and cross-functional stakeholders to align technical solutions with user and business needs.
  • Serve as a primary technical liaison within the product triad, ensuring transparent communication and shared understanding.
  • Communicate CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and technical constraints to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and technical leadership to engineers across team.
  • Promote culture of engineering excellence through high standards for code quality, testing, documentation, and operational ownership. ID skill, process, or knowledge gaps and partner with engineering leadership to address.
  • Encourage innovation by exploring improvements to existing systems, processes, and technologies. Daily administrative tasks.
  • Rate of pay: $147,500/YR.

  • Must have Master's in Comp Sci, Comp Engineering, relevant Engineering or other related field and 4 yrs relevant exp in full-stack web development experience, including modern frontend frameworks and leading an engineering team or driving large-scale architectural changes across multiple teams OR Bach in Comp Sci, Comp Engineering, relevant Engineering or other related field and 5 yrs relevant experience in full-stack web development, including modern frontend frameworks and leading an engineering team or driving large-scale architectural changes across multiple teams.
  • Also requires skills (4 yrs exp) in: building and operating production systems; troubleshooting complex production issues and lead incident response and root cause analysis efforts; working closely with product managers and cross-functional partners to align technical solutions with business and user needs; maintaining CI/CD pipelines and local development environments.
