Your Impact

Lead environmental compliance and stewardship activities that support safe, responsible mining operations. You will provide environmental leadership, oversee compliance programs, support permitting requirements, and help ensure site operations meet regulatory obligations while driving continuous improvement.
As Part of the Team
  • Lead and support environmental personnel and site compliance activities.
  • Implement and monitor environmental management plans and programs.
  • Conduct environmental audits, inspections, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Support spill response preparedness and environmental risk management.
  • Coordinate reclamation and environmental monitoring activities.
  • Partner with operational leaders, consultants, regulators, and community stakeholders.
  • Provide technical guidance on environmental compliance, permitting, and best practices.
Prerequisites
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of progressively responsible environmental experience.
  • Professional designation (or eligibility) such as R.P.Bio., P.Chem., P.Geo., P.Eng., or P.Ag.
  • Strong knowledge of British Columbia environmental legislation, permitting, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Experience interpreting regulatory requirements and managing environmental data and reporting systems.
Work Environment
  • Site-based position supporting operational and environmental teams.
  • Combination of office and field-based work, including environmental monitoring and sampling activities.
  • May require work in varied weather conditions and active operational environments.
  • Pre-employment medical screening required.
  • Workplace operates as a drug- and alcohol-free environment with required testing.

The expected salary range for this role is CAD $105,800.00 - $141,100.00 + 15% STIP. This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.

As per the Collective Agreement all position within the agreement must be posted as per Article.18.01 (a) Job vacancies will first be awarded to the senior qualified employee within the department, through an expression of interest process. (b) Vacancies will remain posted for a period of fourteen (14) calendar days. Postings may exceed fourteen (14) calendar days or be re-posted if successful candidates are not found.
