Job DescriptionHERE'S WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING - Manage the Domestic Wastewater Section, which includes domestic wastewater permits, engineering and domestic reuse, as well, as the pretreatment program, assuring compliance with applicable rules, regulations and agency policies, and provisions of the Texas Water Code and the Clean Water Act.
- Assist management in the evaluation of water quality permitting and proposed legislation as they impact division operations.
- Serve as the agency spokesperson for the domestic wastewater treatment programs of the Water Quality Division.
- Complete and/or oversee personnel management functions, including interviewing, hiring and developing staff, performance management, etc.
- Manage the section budget, developing and implementing processes to assure sufficient resources and expenditures.
- Provide technical expertise for rule development activities and lead the development of policy and rules.
- Provide testimony in contested cases or legislative hearings as needed.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Experience in the management of a business function, division, or department relevant to assignment.
OR
Graduation from an accredited fouryear college or university with major course work in a field relevant to assignment.

Accordingly, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the infrastructure is a requirement to be hired for and to continue to be employed with TCEQ.
