This position is a member of our Information Resources Division.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING - Monitor the Information Technology requests/tickets to ensure software application development needs are tracked, identified, and addressed the team. Ensure all relevant tickets are up to date. Assist the supervisor with monitoring workload for staff and prioritize the order of the tasks assigned. Report potential issues and status updates to the team lead.
- Implement and/or lead the enhancement and maintenance of existing systems to ensure methods, processes, or systems evolve with the business needs of the agency. Oversee and/or perform test activities and evaluate results.
- Design and implement in ColdFusion/Java along with SQL expertise to enhance or maintain agency applications.
- Lead the preparation and review of project documents that capture current system environments, proposed systems enhancements, and overall project status.
- Communicate with customers, management, consultants, and staff to gather and disseminate information on software development projects.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS - Experience analyzing and documenting IT business processes
- Experience performing developer activities for IT projects using ColdFusion, Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PL/SQL, and/or SQL
- Experience performing project manager activities for IT projects
- Experience:
- monitoring work requests submitted by business areas/customers
- monitoring staff resource allocation, assigning and monitoring work of team members
- helping prioritize work for staff with multiple assignments
- reporting on status of work requests
- Experience in assigning, tracking staff workload and giving performance review input.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Experience in the administration of a program relevant to assignment.
OR Graduation from an accredited fouryear college or university with major course work in a field relevant to assignment.

Work Schedule Standard business hours are MF, 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m.
Individual and work group schedule determined by the TCEQ Austin Regional Office.
