Full Job Description
Aprio is seeking a Tax Manager to lead a high-performing team of tax professionals and deliver exceptional compliance and consulting services across a diverse and growing client portfolio-including with our Korean-speaking client community. In this role, you will develop and implement strategic tax planning solutions, manage complex client engagements, and serve as a trusted advisor on matters including mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of tax professionals, delegating responsibilities, providing oversight, and supporting ongoing professional development
  • Develop and implement strategic tax planning solutions, staying current with evolving tax laws and regulations
  • Provide consulting services on complex tax matters, including mergers and acquisitions, tax planning, and corporate restructuring
  • Conduct in-depth tax research to identify planning opportunities and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Prepare and review tax returns across entity types - including S-Corps, partnerships, individuals, and corporations - ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws
  • Communicate effectively with clients, tax authorities, and other regulatory stakeholders to manage all tax-related matters
  • Build and manage strong client relationships, ensuring high-quality, consistent service delivery
  • Mentor, train, and develop team members to strengthen technical expertise and support career growth


Candidate Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
  • CPA required
  • 5+ years of progressive tax experience with demonstrated expertise in corporate tax and tax provisioning
  • Proven experience managing and mentoring a team of tax professionals
  • Business-level fluency in Korean (written and spoken) required to serve Korean-speaking clients
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax compliance and reporting requirements
  • Preferred: Master's degree in Taxation or a related field
