Talent Acquisition Manager Reports To: Director of Talent & People Experience
Status: Full-time; Exempt
Location: Hybrid - Los Angeles (Little Tokyo Office) or West Covina (SGV Office)
Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-6:00 PM; occasional evenings or weekends as needed
Salary Range: $75,000 - $88,000 annually (based on experience and qualifications)

Role Overview: Reporting to the Director of Talent & People Experience, the Talent Acquisition Manager leads full-cycle recruiting operations across Los Angeles, the San Gabriel Valley, and the Inland Empire. Managing a team of Talent Acquisition Specialists, this role owns the day-to-day pipelines, processes, and hiring outcomes needed to staff a high-quality, growing, geographically dispersed workforce - from frontline program staff and summer seasonal hires to HQ office roles.
Responsibilities - Lead, coach, and develop a team of Talent Acquisition Specialists across a hybrid, multi-region environment - setting clear expectations, driving accountability, and building a strong team culture
- Own full-cycle recruiting across all staff categories, including frontline program staff, HQ roles, and high-volume seasonal hiring
- Monitor pipeline health across all lanes; track progress against hiring deadlines and surface risks and recommendations to the Director
- Leverage modern project management and AI tools to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and deliver real-time reporting on hiring progress
- Execute in-person and virtual recruiting events that are engaging, accessible, and optimized for conversion - managing logistics, candidate experience, and pipeline outcomes from event attendance through offer acceptance
- Apply current knowledge of Gen Z recruiting trends to shape candidate engagement strategies and digital sourcing approaches that resonate with today's emerging workforce
- Activate and manage talent pipelines through community partnerships, schools, and workforce development boards across Southern California
- Oversee equitable, distributed hiring across LA, SGV, and the Inland Empire, ensuring sourcing strategies reach candidates in under-resourced communities and through non-traditional channels
- Maintain relationships with regional program leadership to surface localized workforce challenges and ensure hiring reflects community context
- Partner with Employee Experience, Program, and Operations leadership to execute season-aligned hiring plans and ensure a seamless experience from offer acceptance through Day 1
Qualifications & Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field - or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of progressive experience in talent acquisition, including at least 2-3 years in a people leadership or team lead capacity
- Demonstrated success executing in-person and virtual recruiting events with measurable hiring outcomes (e.g., conversion rates, hires per event, pipeline yield)
- Experience activating talent pipelines through community partnerships and non-traditional sourcing channels
- Experience with high-volume, multi-site hiring across geographically dispersed regions (preferably LA, SGV, and/or Inland Empire markets)
- Experience in youth development, education, afterschool, nonprofit, or similarly mission-driven, community-based organizations
- Experience building or improving recruiting processes, workflows, or systems in a scaling organization
- Experience using recruiting data and metrics to drive decision-making and improve hiring outcomes
Preferred
- Master's degree in HR, Business, or related field
- Proficiency with modern ATS platforms and comfort using AI tools (e.g., Claude) and project management tools (e.g., Notion) to improve recruiting efficiency
- Working knowledge of California employment law and fair hiring/EEOC compliance practices
- Experience recruiting in bilingual (English/Spanish) environments
- SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent certification
