Job Description:

This job is responsible for providing leadership, technical direction and oversight to a team delivering technology solutions. Key responsibilities of the job are to provide oversight of the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex computer programs, align technical solutions to business objectives, and ensure that coding practices/quality comply with software development standards. Job expectations include conducting multiple software implementations and applying both depth and breadth in knowledge of several technical competencies.

The successful candidate will define the end-to-end business & functional requirements to support the target business process within Treasury. The candidate will contribute to the software development lifecycle of products and services from inception stage through to the final implementation. The candidate would be required to work closely with the developers to define, build and test the solution often working on multiple projects/work-streams at the same time. The candidate will drive implementation of Key Features using Lean Agile methodology. The role requires:
  • A mindset built on simplicity & reuse
  • Proficiency to work with Senior Business stakeholders and translate business needs into technical requirements
  • Leadership skills to manage ad-hoc analysis or design deep dives
  • Understanding of the development lifecycle to ensure the designs are practical adopted by the delivery teams


Responsibilities:
  • Designs, develops and is accountable for feature delivery
  • Applies enterprise standards for solution design, coding and quality
  • Ensures solution meets product acceptance criteria with minimal technical debt
  • Guides the team on work breakdown and execution
  • Works with the Product Owner to ensure that product backlog/requirements are healthy, with clear acceptance criteria
  • Plays a team lead role (as an individual contributor) and mentors the team
  • Guides team members with skills and practices (planning and estimation, peer reviews, and other engineering practices)
  • Creating and maintaining business requirements (functional & technical) in partnership and collaboration with the business and obtaining sign-off
  • Responsible for creating functional solutions, conducting FSD walk-through and obtaining sign-off
  • Act as an SME in various capacities and identify product development opportunities
  • Responsible for working with the developers to ensure correct understanding of requirements and then owning the functional delivery end to end
  • Defining testing requirements together with the QA team
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with business to ensure alignment with business requirements and project management resources
  • Establish and operate within the governance (decision making) structure for the program/project and manage/escalate issues and risks.
  • Contribute to design and development of the project-level roadmap, ensuring sufficient business benefit is realized within each phase.


Required Qualifications:
  • 10+ years' experience with at least 3+ years' experience as a BA/FA
  • Delivery focused techno-functional role
  • Programming experience with Python or Java/.Net
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Deep understanding of Capital Markets with focus on Credit Risk, Market Risk or Capital calculations
  • Understanding of regulations within the Capital Markets space (Basel, CRR, CRD IV etc)
  • Attention to detail and self-starter, with an ability to identify risks and issues and suggest improvements.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, networking and influencing skills
  • Ability to work across multiple business groups and domains
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure
  • Collaborative, with an ability to share information, transfer knowledge and train new team members
  • Proven ability to balance business demands of different stakeholders and IT fulfilment in terms of standardization, reducing risk and increasing IT flexibility
  • Experience building high-performance, enterprise applications at scale


Desired Qualifications:
  • Financial and regulatory reporting experience; specifically build a reporting solution that facilitates the creation, publication and distribution of reports both on a regular basis and ad-hoc.
  • Experience of having worked on a Greenfield project, ideally within a large financial institution or a financial product development company. He or she may be required to demonstrate this during the interview process.
  • Additionally, the candidate must have solid experience of change management and delivery frameworks such as SDLC, test driven development (TDD) and should have functional delivery of more than one large scale IT project.
  • Knowledge of Big Data Architectures and Cloud computing
  • Experience with Hadoop/Hive, Neo4J, Apache Spark, Kafka and MongoDB is a plus
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Kibana, etc.
  • Knowledge of machine-learning techniques, classifiers and statistical methods
  • Exceptional intelligence and problem-solving skills

Pay range

$106,500.00 - $173,700.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan.
