PE Systems, Inc. has a great opportunity for a Systems Interoperability and Integration Engineer, Sr supporting Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) Program at Hanscom AFB, MA location. The candidate will perform work that applies a broad theoretical and practical knowledge of engineering to the planning, design, and implementation of secure and resilient communications and information systems.
General Function: - Develop technical requirements, plans, and engineering solutions across the weapon-system lifecycle.
- Integrate cybersecurity and system/program protection into weapon-system designs.
- Perform Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) analysis, testing, and mitigation.
- Support spectrum management, certification, and electromagnetic compatibility requirements.
- Analyze C3, IT, and ISR system-of-systems interoperability and integration.
- Analyze and test machine-to-machine data flows, exchanges, and interfaces.
- Support mission-planning processes, technologies, testing, and integration.
- Develop and analyze system architectures, interfaces, and technical solutions.
- Manage and assess COMSEC processes, technologies, and requirements.
- Support communications engineering, interoperability testing, and standards compliance.
- Analyze and develop encryption technologies and support NSA testing and certification.
- Perform cybersecurity assessments, authorization activities, and protection analysis.
- Analyze Critical Protected Information (CPI) protection technologies and requirements.
- Assess technical adequacy, compatibility, and performance of system interfaces.
- Support integration of manned and unmanned aircraft with C3, IT, and ISR networks.
- Develop secure, standards-based interfaces between weapon systems and C3/ISR networks.
- Support embedded communications and IT systems within weapon-system size, power, and environmental constraints.
- Develop modernization strategies, acquisition approaches, test methods, and integrated solutions for secure network operations.
- Support secure machine-to-machine connectivity across legacy and 4th-, 5th-, and 6th-generation systems, including land, sea, air, and space platforms.
- Integrate weapon systems with multi-service logistics IT, including inventory, shipping, expenditure, RF identification, and COMSEC tracking; use CAMEO for DoDAF 2/SysML architecture products and perform advanced Systems Developer (632) cybersecurity tasks.
Qualifications:Education/Certifications/Experience/Skills:- MA Degree and more than 10 years of related experience, OR, BA Degree and more than 15 years of experience related to the position requirements.
- Must possess and maintain a government security clearance at the TS/SCI
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft programs (including Excel, Word, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, and Project).
- Must be able to perform all functional duties independently.
- Must be able to transport self to various facility sites, as required. If using own motor vehicle, must possess a valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position is estimated between $165K-174K. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
