Job DescriptionYou will be the Systems Engineering Manager (Specialty Engineering) for the Aeronautics Specialty Engineering team which is responsible for driving centralized specialty engineering practices.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Systems Engineering Manager (Specialty Engineering) you will be responsible for leading the implementation and execution of Centralized Specialty Engineering practices, including Affordability Engineering, Exportability Control Compliance, and Exportability and Disclosure Policy across all Aeronautics Lines of Business.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead the execution of Affordability Engineering, Exportability Control Compliance, and related policy initiatives.
- Direct Earned Value Management System strategy, engineering processes, technical personnel, and tooling to ensure efficient operations.
- Oversee functional management duties such as performance assessments, career development, merit and salary actions, and training-plan creation.
- Manage staffing activities-including resource forecasting, recruitment, selection of experienced professionals, contractors, college hires, and interns.
- Cultivate a dynamic, accountable work environment that aligns technical strategy with Aeronautics Line of Business objectives.

Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering
Experience leading teams, projects, or cross-functional efforts
Experience working with technical systems in aerospace and/or defense environments
Desired skillsMaster's degree in Engineering and/or MBA
Formal leadership and/or personnel management experience
Earned Value Management System (EVMS) training and experience.
Strong communication, presentation, and able to build collaborative relationships
Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills in dynamic environments
Experience communicating technical concepts to diverse audiences
Technical problem-solving and analytical skills
National Pay StatementPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $128,400 - $226,435. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
