Job SummaryThe Systems Engineer is responsible for internal escalations for critical billing systems where level 1 support could not resolve the issue. They are responsible for troubleshooting, identifying and fixing issues independently. Reading through the code and fully understanding the interactions between multiple applications so that they can make the appropriate code changes to solve the issue without breaking existing functionality. They are responsible for representing their changes to the Change Review Board and answering questions as needed. They also serve as a technical leader on the team, mentoring junior engineers, leading onboarding sessions and writing and reviewing technical documentation for the team. They are expected to lead larger development projects with little to no assistance, making decisions about the best architecture and approach to developing the solution needed. This person represents the team on multi-team meetings, ensuring the needs of the team are met and anything impacting our applications are addressed and relayed back to the team and leadership.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Write efficient, organized, readable, and well documented code.
- Design, develop, and maintain deployments using OVHcloud CDS (CI/CD tool) to non-production and production environments.
- Participate in building, installing, and deploying OVHcloud infrastructure. As well as troubleshooting other microservices software applications and other underlying APIs.
- Use scripting languages to automate tasks and gather data.
- Debug highly available, complex distributed systems and create fixes for issues.
- Independently lead large development projects from planning to deployment and support.
- Act as a mentor for other members across teams and facilitate onboarding for new developers.
- Serve as development escalation for support.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's in Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field.
- 1 year in an SRE, DevOps, programming, or similar position.
- 1 year of experience performing day-to-day Operational (SRE/DevOps) tasks and working with microservices and multiple APIs.
- 1 year of experience with languages such as Perl, Python, Bash, Go, etc.
- 1 year of experience managing a distributed, highly available, high-traffic infrastructure based on Linux.
- 1 year of experience with maintenance/configuration of monitoring, metrics, and logging infrastructures like Nagios, Grafana, OpenSearch.
- 1 year of experience with cloud technologies and terminology.
- 1 year of experience with virtualization and container technology.
- 1 year experience with deploying software using the OVHcloud CDS (CI/CD tool).
- 1 year experience with OVHcloud billing tool Agora for creating orders for customer subscriptions and billing.
- 1 year experience with supporting and maintaining the proprietary MOZG tool that supports OVHcloud production environments.
- 1 year experience working with the OVHcloud product catalog.
- 1 year experience administering Zuora platform.
- 1 year experience creating and supporting Zuora CPQ templates in Salesforce.
- 1 year of ITIL experience.
