Title:

Systems Engineer

This is a contingent position based upon contract award

KBR is looking for a motivated Systems Engineer to join our team and provide Systems Engineer Technical Advisor (SETA) support for the Intelligence Community Customer Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED). GED plays a critical role in enabling the Intelligence Community Customer to plan and execute intelligence-gathering missions, transforming collected data into useful information for the Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD) users.

In this role, you will have the chance to design, develop, test, and deliver products that support our customers’ advanced systems. You'll collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams focused on hardware, software, system integration, and data analysis to help achieve important missions and meet requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation of agency approaches to Systems Engineering (SE) and SE Management.
  • Provide mission expertise in GEOINT ground (G2), SIGINT ground (SG), to enhance SE procedures.
  • Collaborate with teams to analyze and interpret simulation data to influence decision-making.
  • Engage in the development, maintenance, management, and implementation of system architectures.
  • Facilitate requirement traceability and validation through collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Enable the achievement of mission capabilities through effective integration of engineering disciplines.
  • Participate in the development and delivery of training programs covering tradecraft, agile development, DevSecOps, Digital Engineering, and new technologies.
  • Support processes associated with change and configuration management for systems in development and implementation.
  • Assist in the development, maintenance, and management of project roadmaps and schedules.
  • Participate in risk assessment and management processes to identify opportunities and mitigate potential issues.
  • Collaborate with teams to develop action plans for risk mitigation.
  • Support activities related to system readiness, testing, verification, and validation. ensuring compliance with established standards and requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with 5-10 years of experience.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence concepts, tools, and systems
  • Knowledge of IC overhead collection systems and processing
  • Understanding of planning and integrating secure solutions based on legal, policy, and compliance directives.
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering.
  • Experience in developing requirements for system performance, availability, scalability, manageability, and security for mid-to-large-scale systems.
  • Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with adjudicated CI polygraph

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the Intelligence Community Customer System Engineering process and familiarity with terms such as Interface Control Documents (ICDs), System Requirements Documents (SRD), and Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR).
