Full Job Description
Summary: The Systems Engineer of Cloud & Infrastructure Services supports the day-to-day operation of cloud and infrastructure platforms, ensuring reliability, performance, and security. This role participates in incident response, change execution, and system maintenance while following established standards and best practices.

Essential Functions:

  • Implement, support, and maintain cloud and infrastructure platforms, including cloud, server, storage, networking, and security services
  • Monitor system health and performance, investigate alerts, and respond to incidents to restore service availability in accordance with established procedures and service-level objectives
  • Perform system provisioning, configuration, patching, and maintenance activities in cloud and hybrid environments
  • Participate in change management processes, including planning, execution, validation, and documentation of infrastructure changes
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues across cloud, server, storage, and network components, escalating as appropriate.
  • Responsible for managing and resolving service requests and incidents in accordance with established procedures and service-level objectives
  • Develop and maintain automation, scripts, and infrastructure-as-code to improve reliability, consistency, and operational efficiency
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation, diagrams, and runbooks to support operational processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and service providers to resolve issues and support platform improvements.
  • Implement and follow security best practices, including access controls, patch management, and configuration standards.
  • Support disaster recovery, backup, and resiliency initiatives to ensure business continuity.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to reduce incidents, improve performance, and modernize infrastructure platforms.
  • Comply with organizational policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Required Education, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • Associate degree or equivalent education and experience in cloud and infrastructure services
  • 5+ years of total IT experience
  • 3+ years in cloud, server, storage, network, and security platforms
  • Experience with server hardware and managing physical servers and appliances in a data center environment
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS, and/or GCP), including core services such as compute, storage, networking, and identity management
  • Strong understanding of Windows and/or Linux server operating systems, including system configuration, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting
  • Strong understanding of virtualization concepts, including hypervisors, virtual networking, and storage abstraction
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, firewalls, and load balancing concepts
  • Familiarity with identity and access management concepts, including directory services, authentication, authorization, and role-based access control
  • Understanding of infrastructure security best practices, including patch management, least privilege access, and secure configuration standards
  • Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and alerting concepts and tools used to support system reliability and incident response
  • Awareness of backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity concepts in cloud and hybrid environments
  • Familiarity with automation and scripting concepts, including Infrastructure as Code and configuration management principles
