DescriptionJob Description: Systems AdministratorRedSky has an immediate opening for a Systems Administrator supporting Core Services on the CITS contract for USCENTCOM. The position is based in Tampa, Florida.
Position Overview: The Systems Administrator will be responsible for maintaining and supporting Windows servers, ensuring their security, availability, performance, and SecureView. This role involves regular patching, troubleshooting, and collaborating with other IT teams to implement Core Services that align with command requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Troubleshoot issues within Windows Server 2019/2022 Operating Systems.
- Perform regular maintenance tasks including patching and remediation.
- Manage certificate lifecycle management processes for web servers and secure communication channels.
- Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement infrastructure solutions.
- Ensure compliance with security policies, regulations, and best practices.
- Ensure that SecureView adheres to all Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) requirements for secure communication and authentication across different security levels and domains.
- Build, deploy, and maintain server applications and proprietary software.
- Install critical system patches and perform system upgrades.
- Install, configure, and maintain the SecureView environment to support multi-level security for USCENTCOM operations.
- Interact with end-users to understand and evaluate functional requirements.
- Interface with third-party vendors for troubleshooting and support.
- Maintain system documentation and prepare process guides.
- Manage SecureView configurations for different classification levels across multiple security domains.
- Support projects to enhance operational efficiency and security.
- Track and escalate problems at the appropriate priority level.
- Produce management reports and informational packets to support process improvements.
- Conduct continuous compliance, authorization processes, and Risk Management Framework package lifecycle maintenance in alignment with DoW cybersecurity standards.
- Execute system hardening and vulnerability management by implementing DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides, tracking security baselines, and coordinating timely security patch deployment across enterprise systems.
- Manage the Plan of Action and Milestones lifecycle, identifying root causes of compliance gaps, defining measurable remediation milestones, and driving technical mitigation to ensure sustained mission readiness.
Additional Responsibilities:- System performance tuning and optimization.
- Review and preparation of comprehensive documentation for systems.
- Support cross-functional IT teams and projects.
Education and Certifications:- Required: Applicable DoD 8140 or DoD 8570 Certification.
• Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline (Cybersecurity or Information Assurance concentration preferred) or Three (3) years of real-world or military experience in information assurance, network security, or systems administration.
Desired Certifications:- Microsoft Windows Hybrid Administrator
- ITIL 4 Foundation Certification
- SecureView Server Admin Training Certification
- SecureView Virtual Private Network Training Certification
Required Skills:- Experience in systems administration and infrastructure management.
- Understanding of Certificate Lifecycle Management.
- Ability to prepare comprehensive documentation for systems administration tasks.
Desired Skills:- Experience with USCENTCOM and familiarity with its mission.
- Experience working in cross-functional IT teams and projects.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) for automation tasks.
Clearance Requirement:Travel Requirements:- Required USCENTCOM remote location support of up to 10% Travel during the Year to OCONUS Locations
