AWS Hardware Engineering is looking for a senior leader to deliver development, implementation, and reliability for our accelerated GPU offerings in AWS. In this role, you will lead your team to deliver novel hardware designs from inception, through manufacturing, implementation, maturation, and eventually deprecation. You will lead a team of skilled system development engineers, hardware engineers and technical program managers to manage ODMs and work with internal stakeholders. In addition to delivering hardware, your team will be responsible for deliver software tests and automation for both manufacturing and the datacenter. You will also drive tooling and telemetry improvements to enable fleet management and debug. In this role, you will define implementation strategy and report status frequently to senior leadership. Your work will directly enable Amazon's customer's ability to deliver AI related offerings and research.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of managing system or software development teams experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
- 8+ years of experience in Firmware Development or Hardware Engineering
- Hands-on experience in designing, developing and operationally supporting high volume enterprise servers.
- Hands-on experience with system-level analysis and debug
- Proven track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in managing both Software and Hardware Development teams
- Experience leading server development teams (either Hardware or Firmware)
- Experience in working with CM/OEM/ODM vendors for design development and manufacturing
- Experience in delivering software for fleet management and telemetry
- Demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior executives
- High attention to detail including precise and effective customer communications and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
