Full Job Description
Manage user accounts across (Creation/deletion/management) on Mainframe platforms like TSO, OMVS, RACF etc. Run ad-hoc reports and troubleshoot access and profile issues. Work closely with internal teams, and third-party vendors on RACF related projects. Lead RACF security projects for a complex mainframe environment. Analyze RACF security requirements and define appropriate RACF access rules or profiles. Have a good understanding and knowledge of RACF SSL/TLS certificates. Responsible for maintaining all RACF SSL/TLS certificates for the Mainframe, and Mainframe third-party environments.Review and analyze daily RACF activity and create violation summary and detail reports. Manage employee onboarding and termination processes as it relates to technology ensuring new users are set up with required access to Mainframe systems/subsystems, and terminated users no longer have access to Mainframe systems/subsystems. Ability to troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to security and permissions pertain to RACF and knowledge on group policies/delegation of rights in the RACF environment. Regularly perform housekeeping duties to keep Office Unit hierarchy clear of stale, unused, expired, and other no longer needed objects, user id's et al. Conduct routine and regular ongoing reviews of security audit and control procedures. Understanding of audit and compliance requirements. Work closely with Auditors, walkthrough process & policy. Provide solution, remediation, process for audit, and compliance issues. Lead and motivate the team on the process and new initiatives.Additional responsibilities may include the following: Provide technical support of implementation and maintenance of third-party software that support a complex z/Series operating environment. Collaborate with other system administrators, systems Programmers, network, and application teams to perform daily activities ranging in complexity and will help with the installation, configuration, upkeep, and reliable operation of the Mainframe environment. Help in the installation, testing, and maintenance of systems software and hardware including operating systems, compilers, utilities, monitoring tools, and network communications components. Help, in analyzing, diagnosing, and resolving operating system and program product related issues. Help with the installation, and maintenance of the operating subsystems such as disk/DASD storage management including knowledge of SMS storage.Help in the research of system and application problems involving multiple system components and unknown causes, in a time-critical environment. Perform routine and on-call systems programming support and troubleshooting. Helps application areas, as needed, in troubleshooting, use of tools. Bachelor's degree in management, Computer Information Systems and a minimum 8-year experience in an IBM z/OS environment with 6 years of it in RACF, or 10 years comparable experience in an IBM z/OS environment with 8 years of it in RACF.
