  • Ensure high levels of system availability, reliability, performance, and business continuity, including disaster recovery.

  • Lead the technology environment supporting collaboration, project delivery, data processing, and workshare across multiple offices.

Protect the Firm

  • Own the firm's cybersecurity strategy, risk management, policies, compliance, and ongoing improvement of its security posture.

  • Establish effective practices for identity and access management, data protection, vulnerability management, incident response, and regulatory and contractual compliance.

  • Ensure technology risks are identified, prioritized, and appropriately addressed.

Enable Business Systems & Software

  • Provide strategic leadership for core enterprise business systems and applications, including ERP and other systems critical to the firm's operations.

  • Oversee software engineering and application development capabilities that support business needs.

  • Partner with business leaders to ensure technology investments improve productivity, service delivery, and the employee experience.

  • Establish effective processes for evaluating, implementing, integrating, and optimizing enterprise technology.

Lead Data & Emerging Technology

  • Establish enterprise data governance practices that promote data integrity, security, accessibility, and value.

  • Partner with Technology & Innovation leadership on digital transformation, automation, artificial intelligence, and other emerging technologies.

  • Monitor AEC and technology trends and identify opportunities to strengthen the firm's technology capabilities and competitive position.

Manage the Business of IT

  • Develop and manage the annual IT budget and ensure effective allocation of technology resources.

  • Lead strategic vendor relationships, contract negotiations, licensing, and technology procurement.

  • Evaluate investments based on business value, total cost of ownership, risk, scalability, and long-term sustainability.

Build a High-Performing Team

  • Lead and develop a high-performing technology organization through directors and managers.

  • Establish clear accountability, priorities, performance expectations, and professional development opportunities.

  • Foster a culture of service, collaboration, continuous improvement, security, and accountability.
