Sustaining EngineerDEMA Engineering Co.In this role, you'll help maintain and improve existing products while supporting production, quality, and engineering initiatives. What You'll DoAs a Sustaining Engineer, you will support the continued performance, reliability, and improvement of existing products and manufacturing processes. Responsibilities include:
- Troubleshoot and resolve product performance and production issues
- Develop and implement engineering design changes and product improvements
- Create and maintain engineering documentation, bills of material, prints, specifications, and test reports
- Design and test prototype and production components using SolidWorks and related tools
- Support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Engineering Change Requests (ECRs)
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing, quality, procurement, and customer support teams
- Provide technical support for internal teams and customers
- Assist with fixture design, prototype development, and production modifications
- Help maintain compliance with product specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
- Train team members on new and existing processes as needed
What We're Looking ForWe're looking for a motivated engineer who combines technical expertise with strong communication and teamwork skills.
Qualified candidates will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (preferred)
- 3-5 years of experience in sustaining engineering, manufacturing engineering, product engineering, or a related role
- Experience with SolidWorks, PDM systems, CAD modeling, and engineering documentation
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, fluid dynamics, and FEA analysis
- Experience with sheet metal, plastics, and molded part design
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365; advanced Excel skills are a plus
- A continuous improvement mindset and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
