Supply Chain Program Coordinator

Position Summary
Thales is looking for a Supply Chain Program Coordinator to directly manage Performance Based Logistics (PBL), Avionics By The Hour (ABTH), and consignment-related customer programs, as well as ensure the timely delivery of new equipment to designated OEM Linefit production facilities. This position is accountable for the end-to-end performance of each program, with a strong focus on customer on-time delivery and product availability. The Supply Chain Program Coordinator will manage inventory across various phases of the lifecycle, including production, finished goods, serviceable rotable pools, unserviceable repairs, and obsolescence, across multiple physical locations such as customer forward stocking locations, third-party logistics (3PL) facilities, Thales in-house stock, and repair work in progress (WIP). The assigned customer base includes OEM airplane and helicopter manufacturers, commercial airlines, and MRO companies.
In this position, you will also be responsible for the deployment and management of Thales’ logistics infrastructure and related customer order and stock management activities to provide world-class service to our customers. You will need to understand end-to-end processes and material flows and troubleshoot issues and/or data problems as they occur. You will be responsible for achieving 100% on-time delivery for OEM Linefit programs by working closely with the Thales Supplier Network and end customers. This position will lead or participate in ongoing discussions and meetings with customers, in-service program managers, account management teams, finance, and suppliers regarding program performance on a routine basis (daily, weekly, or monthly, as defined by each program or as required). Excellent attention to detail is essential to ensure the timely flow of materials and information to customers, while ensuring all parties across the internal and external supply chain are aligned to the same plan. You will also proactively identify gaps in material availability or performance and take appropriate action to mitigate risk.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Manage end-to-end supply chain performance and key program metrics to achieve customer satisfaction and Thales financial goals, including customer on-time delivery/order fulfillment, inventory accuracy and budget compliance, product availability, core return time, repair WIP turnaround time (TAT), part rejection and OEM Final Assembly Line (FAL) issue resolution, replenishment rate, obsolescence/supersession management, inventory turns, and days-of-supply inventory coverage.
- Manage customer demand, orders, and supply requirements by processing and acknowledging customer orders; replenishing items consumed at forward stocking and customer locations from Thales or 3PL program stock; driving customer/program production schedules; validating supply-base availability and adherence to plan; proactively identifying potential stockouts and securing recovery plans; and collaborating with Supplier Planning to secure immediate, short-, and long-term requirements.
- Coordinate planning, repair WIP, and product availability by working with repair shops to prioritize WIP and maintain sufficient serviceable units for immediate customer dispatch; forecasting and replenishing non-repairable items based on historical or estimated customer consumption/removal rates; and participating in weekly Sales and Operations Planning calls with customers, suppliers, and account management teams.
- Monitor and control inventory across all program locations including forward stocking locations, Thales internal program stock, rotable pools, 3PL locations, and repair WIP; make analytical recommendations regarding stock positioning, increases/decreases, and safety stock strategies; redirect inventory to meet customer commitments and internal objectives; reduce obsolescence and rotate inventory using FIFO; maintain accurate serial-number and part-status/location records; and perform or coordinate annual inventory audits as needed.
- Ensure contractual customer-service, shipping, and returns requirements are achieved by coordinating timely shipments from Logistics Centers, 3PL providers, and suppliers; notifying customers of shipments through required EDI, customer portals, or manual signaling; ensuring shipping documentation complies with Thales policies and customer requirements; tracking international shipments for customs compliance and on-time delivery; maintaining positive internal and external customer relationships; and coordinating defective-material returns from OEM FAL locations for investigation and Part 21 repair while resolving production-line shortages. Identify and promptly report quality issues and create RMAs as needed.
- Manage program reporting and continuous improvement activities by reporting defined program KPIs, completing monthly COMOP reporting and program reviews, creating ad hoc reports as needed, supporting Sales in meeting objectives, continually reviewing the supply chain and recommending operational and financial improvements related to profit and loss, and performing other Supply Chain functions as needed for backup coverage.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study with a minimum 1-3 yrs experience or a minimum of 5+ years of relevant work experience in Supply Chain or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in program management, inventory management, customer support operations preferred.
- Must have excellent communication and organizational skills. Will lead discussions with Suppliers, Customers and THALES personnel at many levels including Senior Management at times.
- Attention to detail is a must;Ability to work independently and handle pressure situations.
- SAP, Power BI, Microsoft Office specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong basic knowledge of EDI/B2B flows.

Special Position Requirements
- Schedule: Core business hours, Monday – Friday. Hybrid option once training has been completed and manager agrees. 3 days in the office.
- Physical Demands: On occasion, be able to lift and carry a minimum of 25 pounds a very short distance (offsite inventory audit).
- Physical Environment: Primary office environment, this position is required access to the 145 Repair station floor, warehouse and production area.
- Travel: This position may require domestic and/or international travel less than 10%.
