Supply Chain Manager to lead end-to-end site supply chain activities in Alabaster, Alabama ensuring the safe, compliant, reliable, and cost-effective delivery of products to customers.
As a member of the Site Leadership Team, you will bring together Customer Service, Local Procurement, Production Planning and Scheduling, Warehousing, and Distribution. You will also champion Sales and Operations Planning and Execution, strengthening alignment across demand, supply, inventory, capacity, and customer commitments in a cGMP pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
Expertise and Experience: - B.S. or M.S. degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- 10+ years of team leadership experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing within a cGMP environment, unless prior experience demonstrates equivalent aptitude.
- General knowledge of the pharmaceutical product/excipient manufacturing process.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement business strategies, i.e., organizational structure, change management, budget development, project management, and strategic staffing plan.
- Recognize unanticipated or adverse outcomes or deviations; able to use technical expertise, experience, data analysis, and creativity to evaluate and identify root causes to propose corrective actions or resolutions of increasing complexity; able to independently and rapidly take corrective actions to resolve technical problems of suitable complexity.
- Knowledge and experience with regulations related to safety and environmental compliance.
- Knowledge of the use of PPE, safety protocols and practices related to working with air exposure to hazardous chemicals that could potentially affect the health of the employee.

Customer Service - Ensure exceptional customer service experience through effective order management, communication, issue resolution, and delivery performance.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for customer supply & fulfilment issues.
- Monitor and improve performance indicators including DOT-P, DOT-R, OTIF and customer satisfaction scores.
- Partner closely with Business, Sales, and Production to proactively manage customer expectations and commitments.
Materials Management - Lead procurement activities to ensure uninterrupted supply of raw materials, consumables, packaging, and indirect materials.
- Develop sourcing and inventory strategies that balance service, risk, working capital, and cost objectives.
- Manage supplier and vendor performance, supply continuity, and risk mitigation efforts.
- Collaborate with Quality and Technical teams to ensure proper compliance and qualification efforts are met.
- Drive inventory optimization initiatives to reduce working capital while maintaining customer service levels.
Scheduling & Long-Term Planning - Own the site's master production planning and scheduling processes.
- Translate customer forecasts, demand plans, and business objectives into executable supply plans.
- Evaluate capacity constraints and identify mitigation plans to support growth and supply.
- Ensure alignment between production schedules, material availability, labor, maintenance, and customer commitments.
- Drive schedule adherence and improve planning processes through data-driven decision-making.
- Support annual budget, strategic planning, and capacity expansion initiatives.
- Develop trade-off and scenario analyses for decision-making.
Warehousing & Distribution - Lead warehousing operations to ensure inventory, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Manage receiving, storage, inventory control, shipping, and distribution activities.
- Ensure compliance with GMPs, IATA, and other relevant transportation requirements.
- Optimize inventory management processes and warehouse utilization.
- Monitor transportation performance and coordinate with logistics providers to ensure timely deliveries.
Process Excellence & Master Data Leadership (SAP, S&OP, S&OE) - Serve as the site business process owner for SAP.
- Ensure master data governance, system integrity, process compliance, and user capability.
- Partner with IT, process owners, and business stakeholders to support SAP enhancements, upgrades, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.
- Lead supply chain process standardization through SAP-enabled solutions.
- Develop standard reports, dashboards, and analytics that enable operational decision-making.
- Serve as site champion for S&OP and S&OE.
- Facilitate monthly S&OP and weekly S&OE for each SBU.
- Drive alignment between demand, supply, inventory, financial plans, and capacity.
- Develop actionable recommendations and escalation plans for risks and opportunities.
- Ensure execution discipline and accountability across functional stakeholders.
- Establish metrics and reporting to improve planning accuracy and operational performance.
