Job Summary

The Director of Supply Chain is responsible for developing and executing the organization's supply chain strategy to optimize cost, supplier performance, inventory management, compliance, and operational efficiency. This position provides leadership across strategic sourcing, category management, supplier relationship management, inventory planning, logistics, procurement operations, and supply chain analytics. The Director partners closely with Operations, Finance, Engineering, Maintenance, and Commercial to align supply chain initiatives with business objectives and deliver measurable value through cost reduction, process improvement, inventory optimization, and strategic supplier engagement.

Major Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute enterprise-wide supply chain strategies that support operational objectives, profitability, and long-term business growth
  • Lead strategic sourcing, category management, supplier relationship management, and procurement initiatives to maximize value and reduce total cost of ownership
  • Direct inventory planning, procurement-to-pay processes, compliance programs, and supply chain governance activities
  • Establish key performance indicators and reporting processes to monitor savings, inventory position, supplier performance, budget impact, and operational effectiveness
  • Manage the end-to-end logistics network including transportation, freight, and last-mile delivery where applicable
  • Drive continuous improvement through analytics, automation, artificial intelligence initiatives, systems enhancements, and process optimization
  • Lead, coach, and develop supply chain personnel while supporting talent acquisition, succession planning, and organizational growth


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field required
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive supply chain, procurement, logistics, inventory management, or strategic sourcing experience preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing supply chain functions and personnel preferred
  • Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, category management, supplier relationship management, logistics, inventory management, and procurement operations
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement supply chain strategies that drive business value and operational efficiency
  • Experience utilizing ERP systems, inventory management platforms, procurement software, reporting tools, and business analytics solutions
  • Strong financial acumen, negotiation skills, business judgment, and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Excellent communication, leadership, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Establish KPIs and performance metrics to measure supply chain effectiveness and drive accountability
  • Must be a problem solver and capable of developing strategic solutions to complex business challenges
  • Must demonstrate a sense of urgency and accountability in achieving organizational goals and timelines
  • Must be able to identify risks, anticipate obstacles, and proactively implement mitigation strategies
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications and able to quickly learn additional business software
