- You will plan, direct, and supervise all work performed by the Fleet Operations Division and will assign work to subordinates based on command priorities, strategic objectives, and individual capabilities.
- You will serve as the principal advisor to the Weapons Officer and Commanding Officer on all matters pertaining to fleet operations and waterfront production.
- You will have final decision-making authority for the scheduling of all Explosive Handling Wharf events and direct emergent, short-notice changes required for urgent fleet support, ensuring uninterrupted support to the SSBN/SSGN fleet.
- You will chair all meetings to negotiate, finalize, and approve complex operational timelines developed by subordinates, resolving any inter-departmental conflicts.
- You will conduct the critical final review of the Commanding Officer's Night Orders (CONOs) before routing to the Weapons Officer for signature, ensuring 100% technical and procedural accuracy.
- You will review and provide final approval for all high-risk, complex, or non-standard ordnance move orders, enforcing absolute adherence to Nuclear Weapons Safety and Security policies.

QualificationsYour resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
leading a multidisciplinary workforce in a high-tempo operational, logistics, maintenance, production-control, or fleet-support environment; directing strategic planning, scheduling, resource allocation, risk management, and contingency development for complex, high-visibility operations; conducting final quality and compliance reviews of high-risk operational plans, work packages, logistics requirements, official correspondence, and management reports; and resolving competing operational requirements and negotiating resource commitments with senior military leaders, customers, and external stakeholders.
