The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a full-time Supervisory General Engineer (NH-0801-04) to work at Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC), Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC). This federal job offers a rewarding and exciting career with benefits.

2026 Salary Range is $125,776-$192,331 yearly (including locality).

The primary purpose of this position is to serve in the Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) Engineering Directorate (EN) as a first level supervisor providing/planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over nonsupervisory employees and directly contributing to delivering exceptional engineering solutions that enhance AF readiness and effectiveness to contribute to mission success.
REQUIREMENTS:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Science & Engineering (S&E)
- Employee must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance as a condition of employment
- Could be subject to random testing for drug use
- Periodic travel for temporary duty (TDY) may be needed to support workload
- This position is designated as an acquisition position covered by the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP)

- Empower and lead technical teams within AFSC/EN which supports the AFSC science, engineering, and technical workforce. Direct, mentor, and guide a team of skilled professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous technical growth and providing the advice and expertise necessary to ensure your team remains a high-performing cornerstone of the organization.
- Translate complex technical issues and resolutions for stakeholders and team members with varying levels of technical expertise and develop and deliver high-level technical briefings and reports to program stakeholders and senior leadership. Includes engaging with geographically distributed cross-functional personnel to ensure seamless planning, coordination, and execution of strategic initiatives.
- Responsible for performing professional engineering and management work in support of projects/programs pertaining to systems engineering policies, provides expert engineering solutions by researching, developing, and applying cutting-edge technologies and provides advice on policy implementation to programs and other activities.
- Resolves complex conflicts through coordination with directorate leadership, stakeholders, and other agencies. Provides guidance to organizations to resolve difficult or unforeseen issues on design, regulatory limitations, and/or exchange information and expedite work.
