Pay Range:

$69,800.00 - $114,800.00

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for supervising the ELISA/Luminex Immunoassay Development team in the feasibility, product development, validation, and technical support of multiplex immunoassays. You will be responsible for performing and overseeing development assays, reviewing data for project milestones, and proposing solutions to product and process related issues. You will also lead projects within the department and cross-functionally to further the ongoing development of new and existing products to help advance Bio-Techne’s evolving portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of Development personnel in the department including setting goals for the team, performance management, career development, and overseeing daily work.

  • Review work of team to measure if they are meeting the goals and the objectives of the department.

  • Ensure projects on the team meet milestone goals through active, collaborative project management with project leaders.

  • Manage data manipulation/curation/report building and increased data automation during the NPI process

  • Actively participate in the MRB (Material Review Board) process to solve product and process related issues and non-conformances.

  • Write, review & approve the following as appropriate: SOPs, Deviations, and Change Impact Assessments.

  • Lead the team in identifying and implementing process improvements that will increase workflow efficiencies.

  • Collaborate with product management, manufacturing, and quality teams to facilitate new product design, validation, and release processes.

  • Conduct presentations of technical information concerning specific projects or schedules to the team and other departments.

  • Act as an advisor to the unit or sub-units and may become actively involved, as required, to meet schedules and resolve problems of high complexity.

  • Follow company policies and practices as outlined in the Handbook and follow guidelines regarding safety as outlined in the AWAIR, Chemical Hygiene and Exposure Control manuals in accordance to the job.

  • Demonstrate understanding of organizational goals while exhibiting EPIC values in daily work.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s science degree with 4 or more years of relevant experience, or

  • Master’s degree with 2 or more years of relevant experience

  • Demonstrated leadership capacity required.

  • Experience with Immunoassays preferred.

  • Experience with project management preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of laboratory equipment, which includes the use of all instruments related to immunoassays.

  • Ability to pay attention to details and perform at a high level of accuracy.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel are required.

  • Computer entry and/or typing skills are desirable.

  • Proficient in planning, organizational, and multi-tasking skills to complete assignments in an efficient manner in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work independently and ability to collaborate across different groups.

  • Skills in problem solving including the ability to identify and appropriately evaluate an alternative course of action.

  • Skills in leading and supervising.

  • Skills in establishing effective interpersonal relationships such as the ability to solicit key ideas and information.
