Overview

The primary duty of this role is to perform work directly related to the management and general business operations of the organization by exercising independent judgment and discretion on matters of significance, including operational strategy, governance, and risk management. This position provides ongoing operational oversight and governance for Investment Solutions Operations. Ensures the alignment of front-office execution, operational infrastructure, and technology capabilities to deliver scalable, efficient, and controlled solutions that drive revenue growth and enhance client outcomes. Responsible for organizational capability, including talent development and ownership of the control environment, with expertise in the three lines of defense model. The role ensures the implementation, and sustainability of robust controls, proactively addressing risk and audit expectations. This includes championing a strong risk culture, driving accountability, and ensuring operational integrity across all activities in partnership with the first line of defense.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership - Oversees and guides execution of operational strategy aligned to business growth, client needs, and enterprise priorities. Ensures operational strategies and processes enhance client experience and outcomes
  • Decision Making and Judgement - Exercises independent judgment and discretion in complex, high-risk, and ambiguous environments where policies provide limited guidance. Evaluates trade-offs between risk, financial outcomes, and client impact to determine appropriate courses of action. Balances revenue, client impact, and risk considerations in enterprise-level decisions. Establishes decision frameworks and governance to enable consistent, scalable outcomes
  • Operational Excellence and Transformation - Evaluates and recommends process optimization, automation, and operating model improvements. Champions continuous improvement to enhance efficiency, scalability, and client experience . Monitors and influences execution through governance frameworks, stakeholder readiness, and adoption across the organization. Aligns operational decisions with financial performance and business objectives
  • Risk Management & Control Leadership - Interprets policies, standards, and regulatory requirements and determines appropriate application to business operations. Recommends and implements solutions that materially impact operational risk, compliance posture, and business performance. Ensures robust control execution, and sustainability across investment operations. Proactively identifies, assesses, and mitigates operational, regulatory, and reputational risks. Partners effectively with Risk, Compliance, and Audit to maintain strong governance
  • Organizational Leadership & Talent Development - Provides guidance, coaching, and functional direction to team members. Establishes training frameworks and fosters a culture of continuous learning. Coaches and develops leaders, strengthening succession and organizational capability
  • Investment Solutions Product & Platform Expertise - Maintains deep understanding of investment products, operational processes, and supporting technologies. Ensures seamless integration across front office, operations, and technology platforms

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience in Operational leadership in a financial institution. OR High School Diploma or GED and 6 years of experience in Operational leadership in a financial institution.

The base pay for this position is generally between $95,000.00 and $150,000.00. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
