Job DescriptionYou will be the Structures Design Engineer for the Airframe Structures Team which is responsible for developing and validating aircraft structural solutions for the F-22 program.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Structures Design Engineer you will be responsible for applying technical expertise to create and refine structural designs that enable mission-critical performance.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Creation and/or modification of primary and secondary structural parts, assemblies, installations, and interface control models/documents.
- Contributing to the development, testing, and validation of aircraft structural designs.
- Design, development, and finalization of structural and mechanical layouts with systems interfaces.
- Coordination with internal Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and interaction with external IPTs and suppliers.
Further Information About This OpportunityMUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in an engineering technical discipline such as Mechanical, Aerospace, or Aeronautical
- Experience with 3DX, CATIA, Solidworks, Pro Engineer, Creo, Unigraphics, NX, or equivalent 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tool
- Experience with structural design
Desired skills- Experience with 3DX or CATIA V5
- Experience with metallic and composite design
- Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Experience with structural analysis for preliminary sizing
Work Schedule InformationLockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. National Pay StatementPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
