What you'll do:- Join a diverse and vibrant team of engineers and technologists delivering a wide range of bridge and transportation infrastructure-related projects in Western Canada.
- Work autonomously and collaboratively, with opportunities to further develop your engineering career in a collaborative environment.
- Be responsible for undertaking a variety of bridge projects for a diverse client base including the BC Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, BC Ministry of Forest Lands and Natural Resource Operations, municipalities, and private sector clients.
- Participate in the delivery of all aspects of bridge projects ranging from conceptual, preliminary and detailed design of bridges; inspection and management of bridge inventories; assessment and rehabilitation of bridges; and preparation and administration of contracts.
- Design and analysis of new and existing structures, condition assessments, project management, participation in business development, and preparation of proposals.
Depending on your experience, skills, and interests, this position provides opportunities to further develop a technical specialty and/or project management skills.
Does this sound like you?- Undergraduate degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution.
- Eligible for professional registration with EGBC.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in structural engineering.
- Experience with design, specifications, scheduling, cost estimating, tendering, construction, and inspections of bridges.
- Proven technical skills.
- Project management skills are an asset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Committed team player and the ability to work independently with minimum direction when required.
- Valid Driver's Licence.
