The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.

The GTM Commercial Ops Strategy & Ops Associate will be a key member of the Central Operations team within Global Business Organization (GBO). They will partner closely with Deal Desk leadership, Central Ops, cross GTM Ops teams, and leadership to act as an advisor to executives. The Associate will help build a scalable commercial engine by leveraging data insights, designing future processes with AI solutions embedded to create leverage, optimize growth and scale in our sales organization and will be responsible for helping crack important strategic and operational problems facing the business.

The Associate should have a strong strategic mindset with data and analytical skills while also being able to communicate and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive critical business decisions. The candidate should also be able to handle highly sensitive, confidential, and non-routine information, have high attention to detail, be open-minded to challenge the status quo, and work in a rapidly changing organization while inspiring excellence from themselves and business partners. This candidate should have a bias to action and ability to self-start with use of AI tools and innovative solutions to solve the most important business

Responsibilities
  • Use problem solving skills to logically structure ambiguous problems, conduct data-driven analysis, extrapolate key insights, and deliver recommendations
  • Leverage data insights to set and measure targets; build recommendations on where the business should drive and grow towards
  • Use data and metrics to measure impact of projects that have been scaled to ensure the business should prioritize them
  • Partner closely with Deal Desk leadership and cross-functional partners to drive business strategies, lead complex programs and present key insights and recommendations to senior business leaders
  • Design and scale automated workflows for key Commercial Ops processes (e.g., order management, pricing). Turn business questions into clear frameworks and work with Sales Ops, Tech, and Data to build AI/ML or rules-based automation that speeds up and improves decisions.
  • Learn quickly, across the SaaS and Marketing businesses, be agile and proactive, as well as assume ownership for broad tracks and global workstreams
  • Conduct research on industry trends and gather competitive intelligence as input to strategies and recommendations


Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in Business, Analytics, Operations, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a strategic, analytical, or operational role (e.g., Sales Operations, Business Operations, Consulting, Finance, Analytics).
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Excel, SQL, and PowerPoint in a business context.
  • Demonstrated experience with AI-enabled tools used in business and analytics contexts.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Commercial Operations experience (e.g., Deal Desk, pricing) in SaaS and/or marketing/advertising businesses.
  • Ability to leverage AI and Automation tools across role responsibilities (analytics, communications, strategy & execution, program mgmt., etc.)
  • Strong analytical skills-able to translate data into insights, recommendations, and clear business narratives to drive decision-making.
  • Advanced Excel expertise, including data analysis and financial modeling.
  • Proficiency with BI/analytics tools (e.g., Tableau) and querying languages (SQL/Presto), or demonstrated ability to learn quickly.
  • Executive-ready communication and presence-comfortable presenting to senior leaders and partnering one-to-one with technical and business stakeholders.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership: builds trusted partnerships, facilitates meetings, and guides groups through trade-offs and decisions.
  • Experience managing vendor/partner teams (e.g., offshore operations) and influencing without direct authority.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and complex, high-priority strategic problems; bias toward challenging the status quo and continuous improvement.
  • Program management experience driving large, cross-functional, enterprise-wide initiatives; experience in global enterprise environments a plus.

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role is $84,000 - $137,000.

Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
