OverviewRole Summary Suffolk is seeking a Strategy Manager to support enterprise-wide process transformation and the continued build-out of Suffolk Global. This role operates at the intersection of strategy and execution, driving critical initiatives from ideation through implementation in close partnership with the Global Process Director, senior functional leaders, and third- party partners / consultants.
Based in Boston, this individual will work at the forefront of Suffolk's global growth strategy, helping define where and how the business scales through Suffolk Global. This includes developing strategic plans, evaluating new opportunities, building business cases, and supporting executive decision-making. In parallel, the role will support the execution of select transformation initiatives, ensuring strategies are translated into actionable plans and delivered with discipline.
The role requires a highly analytical, structured thinker with a strategy background who can operate across corporate strategy, transformation, and execution. Working across Suffolk Construction, Suffolk Design, and Suffolk Global teams, this individual will play a key role in shaping strategy, driving alignment, and delivering measurable business impact.
ResponsibilitiesStrategy Development & Management - Collaborate with senior leaders across Suffolk Construction, Suffolk Design, and Suffolk Global to identify, prioritize, and solve key strategic and operational challenges
- Support development of Suffolk Global's broader strategy, including capability expansion, operating model evolution, and long-term growth planning
- Leverage market research, internal data, and strategic frameworks to inform enterprise and functional strategies, including support of annual and multi-year planning processes
- Analyze new opportunities (capabilities, functions, geographies, or delivery models) and develop business cases to assess growth potential and go-to-market approach
- Develop financial models, including ROI analysis, market sizing, and value realization tracking
- Support the incubation and scaling of new capabilities within Suffolk Global
Program Leadership & Partnership Management - Drive execution of high-priority strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment to enterprise objectives and Suffolk Global's growth strategy
- Oversee and coordinate third-party partners and consultants supporting key initiatives, ensuring alignment to Suffolk's objectives, timelines, and quality expectations
- Act as the primary point of integration across internal teams and external partners, ensuring workstreams are coordinated, dependencies are managed, and outputs are cohesive
- Define project scope, structure workplans, and translate strategic recommendations into actionable execution plans with clear milestones and ownership
- Track progress against timelines, deliverables, and value realization targets across multiple concurrent initiatives
- Identify risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks, and proactively drive resolution to maintain momentum and impact
- Ensure effective knowledge transfer and long-term ownership of initiatives from external partners to internal Suffolk and Suffolk Global teams
Global Delivery Strategy and Enablement - Support the strategic expansion of Suffolk Global by enabling the transition and scaling of targeted capabilities
- Partner closely with Suffolk Global leadership and third-party teams in India to align on priorities, strategies, operating models, and execution
- Help define and refine operating rhythms, governance structures, and collaboration models across geographies
Stakeholder Management & Executive Communication - Communicate with senior stakeholders to drive alignment, build buy-in, and support solution development and implementation
- Facilitate cross-functional working sessions to convey complex ideas, drive decisions, and advance initiatives with increasing independence
- Prepare executive-level presentations summarizing insights, recommendations, and progress against key initiatives
- Effectively "manage up" by proactively surfacing key insights, risks, and decision points to leadership
- Manage relationships with external partners and consultants, ensuring clear communication, accountability, and alignment with Suffolk leadership expectations
Performance Management & Continuous Improvement - Track performance against strategic objectives, including cost savings, productivity gains, quality improvements, and scalability targets
- Monitor financial performance and value realization against business cases
- Support development of dashboards and reporting frameworks to monitor initiative performance
- Continuously identify opportunities to refine strategies, processes, and operating models based on data and stakeholder feedback
Qualifications- 3-6 years of experience in strategy or management consulting, corporate strategy, operations, or enterprise transformation roles
- Experience at a top-tier strategy or management consulting firm (or similar environment) strongly preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills, including hypothesis-driven thinking, structured analysis, and ability to synthesize insights into clear recommendations
- Strong financial acumen, including experience with financial modeling, business case development, and ROI analysis
- Proven experience supporting and driving complex, cross-functional strategic initiatives
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear, concise insights for senior leadership
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
- Entrepreneurial and hands-on; comfortable operating in ambiguity
- Experience or exposure to global delivery models or offshore teams is a plus
- Familiarity with construction, design, or engineering industries is a plus but not required
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally, including travel to India as needed

Compensation InformationThe expected salary range for this position (Manager, Strategy) in US-MA-Boston is between $133,000 and $186,000 USD. This represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Suffolk's total compensation package. Actual salaries may be based on several factors including, but not limited to, skill set, experience, education and other qualifications. Suffolk offers a comprehensive benefits package as part of its overall compensation strategy. Salary ranges may differ by geography and are reviewed regularly to reflect market trends.
