Job Description:

The Strategy & Business Analytics Manager is the analytical engine and storytelling architect behind Mars Snacking North America's strategic choices. Sitting at the intersection of strategy and deployment, this role translates complex market dynamics, consumer trends, and competitive intelligence into compelling executive narratives that drive decision-making.

Acting as a critical connective tissue across the organization, this manager builds robust cross-functional partnerships to ensure Strategic Choices are deployed and shape execution. This includes partnering with the Manager of Strategy & Performance to tie strategic choices directly to financial outcomes, and collaborating with Global Strategy to ensure North American initiatives amplify broader enterprise goals. Success in this role requires a unique blend of analytical rigor, high-level strategic thinking, and the ability to influence without authority.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience: 3-5+ years of progressive experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, or commercial analytics.


  • Industry Experience: Prior experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), Food & Beverage, or Retail is highly preferred.


  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related quantitative field. An MBA or advanced degree is strongly preferred.


  • Technical Skills: Strong financial acumen and P&L literacy, coupled with deep analytical expertise leveraging syndicated market data (e.g., Nielsen, Circana) and broader business analytics.


  • Strategic Skills: Exceptional data storytelling capabilities, with proven experience using strategic frameworks to distill complex analyses into clear business choices, alongside a high comfort level navigating ambiguity.


What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Strategic Storytelling: Architect compelling executive narratives and presentations that distill complex data and rigorous analysis into clear, actionable strategic choices.


  • Market & Competitive Intelligence: Lead the curation of market insights, consumer behavior trends, macroeconomic trends, internal performance, and competitive intelligence to anticipate industry shifts and proactively evolve our North American strategy.


  • Analytical Rigor & Financial Linkage: Structure complex strategy workstreams, partnering cross-functionally to ensure all strategic choices are firmly grounded in long-term financial models, ROI assessments, and resource prioritization.


  • Cross-Functional Orchestration: Facilitate leadership workshops and strategic planning routines to create a feedback loop with business unit leaders, ensuring our strategies rapidly adapt to evolving market conditions.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.

The pay range shown is applicable to all US locations listed within the job posting:USD 101,120.00 - USD 139,040.00
