The Strategic Operations Director serves as a strategic partner to the Executive Vice President – Personal Care and the PCS Leadership Team, driving enterprise planning, operational excellence, and cross-functional execution. This role provides leadership for strategic planning, governance, operating rhythms, market intelligence, stakeholder communications, and high-impact initiatives that advance organizational priorities. The role ensures alignment across functions, strengthens execution of strategic objectives, and delivers actionable insights that support informed decision-making and sustainable growth.

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Lead the annual strategic planning process, including development of the strategic vision and messaging for key initiatives (e.g., Branch of the Future, Member Journey).

  • Collaborates with leader and leadership team to design and implement strategies that align with leadership goals.

  • Coordinate the department operating rhythm, including Monthly Operating Reviews (MORs), leadership meetings, follow-up actions, and strategic deep-dive sessions.

  • Manage Shared Services Charters, Joint Operating Committees (JOCs), and cross-functional dependency management to improve execution and accountability.

  • Drive cross-functional alignment and governance across strategic initiatives.

Market Intelligence & Business Strategy

  • Monitor industry trends, earnings calls, analyst reports, press releases, competitive activity, mergers and acquisitions, and new market opportunities

  • Synthesize competitive intelligence into actionable recommendations that inform strategic planning and business decisions.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Works with department leadership to deliver clear, consistent metrics for data-driven decision-making.

  • Analyze organizational performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • Regularly reports on performance and key metrics to the leader and department leadership.

Strategic Support

  • Coordinate quarterly goal setting, alignment, and performance monitoring to ensure strategic priorities translate into measurable outcomes.

  • Provides critical strategic assistance to the leader in decision-making.

  • Conducts in-depth research to inform the development of department strategies and initiatives.

  • Acts as a central point for information and proposals related to department.

  • Collaborates on mergers & acquisitions, focusing on department strategy and
    infrastructure setup.

  • Stays abreast of industry trends to maintain innovative and effective department

Communication & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Develop communication and marketing strategies, messaging, and content that support organizational priorities and strategic initiatives.

  • Prepare Board, leadership, and external stakeholder presentations and materials.

  • Efficiently organizes meetings for the leader and leadership team, ensuring productive outcomes.

  • Prepares detailed agendas and follow-up actions for department leadership meetings.

Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with payors, vendors, executive peers, regulators, and other external stakeholders.

Crisis Management

  • Aids in developing and executing crisis management plans for the department function.

  • Provides steadfast support during organizational changes or challenges.

Salary: $179,000 - $185,000

This role is bonus eligible based on individual and company performance.
