Full Job Description
The Stars Quality Strategic Initiatives Lead strategically identifies enterprise partners to develop and lead partnership opportunities that influence the Health Outcomes Survey (HOS). This role will collaborate closely with enterprise activation team and other business partners to develop and execute strategic initiatives that align with Humana's goals and objectives to improve HOS performance. In partnership with leadership, this role will identify opportunities and lead follow-through efforts to ensure strategic action planning is executed with the speed and caliber required to successfully achieve goals.

The Stars Quality Strategic Initiatives Lead explores, scopes, develops, oversees, and manages HOS strategic initiatives across the Medicare Advantage segment, enterprise activation team, and other business partners. Identifies needs and opportunities for the execution of strategic activities across the enterprise for the HOS program. This role works intimately with cross-functional teams such as enterprise activation and other business partners to understand and support HOS across a variety of stakeholders. Exercises considerable latitude in determining priorities, objectives, and approaches to drive improvement initiatives and progress. Analyzes processes, identifies key decision-makers and makes recommendations on how to elevate and embed the HOS program in all aspects of Humana's Medicare Advantage segment experience and workflows. Maintains and drives the HOS portfolio across the enterprise.

  • Develop, oversee, and manage strategic enterprise initiatives, including the development of project plans, goals & KPIs timelines, and budget that support the HOS program
  • Leverage research and analysis to identify opportunities and make informed recommendations to enterprise partners on HOS asks to support performance improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and enterprise teams to ensure seamless execution of initiatives
  • Monitor and track the progress of initiatives to drive accountability and ensure progress is on track and align with HOS strategic direction
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate progress, results, and recommendations to leadership
  • Identify, mitigate, and escalate risks and obstacles that may arise during the implementation of initiatives
  • Stay updates on industry trends & best practices, business priorities, and organizational strategic vision to drive continuous improvement in strategic planning and execution

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, healthcare management, public health or any field
  • Minimum 7 years of direct experience in consulting, stars quality, cross-functional strategy, and/or member/patience experience
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing enterprise-level strategies in a complex, matrixed environment
  • Experience ensuring teams remain aligned to those priorities through execution, measurement, and continuous improvement
  • Experience partnering across business, technology, operations, and enablement teams to drive measurable outcomes
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office XP products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate ideas effectively in both written and oral forms

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in business administration or a related field
  • Healthcare experience
  • PMP certification a plus
  • Knowledge and experience with health outcomes survey

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$115,200 - $158,400 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
