General Summary:

This individual leads, plans, synthesizes ambiguous or conflicting requirements and performs the complex responsibility of testing and modifying general systems-level software/hardware, specialized utility and/or hardware. Interprets wireless specifications. Designs test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures. Documents systems-level defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to developers. Identifies, analyzes, troubleshoots, and documents problems with program function, output, or content. Develops testing programs that assess effectiveness of a new system or modification of an existing system. Conducts log analyses to identify where an issue has occurred and makes recommendations for how to address the issue. Understands basic features of the system. Collects information (e.g., logs, requirements) and identifies basic patterns/trends related to systems testing. Manages individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with minimal supervision. Determines which work tasks are most important for self and junior engineers, avoids distractions, and completes work in a timely manner. Communicates detailed and regular feedback about identified feature issues to software and systems teams. Collaborates with individuals inside own team and with other teams to complete project work. Resolves straightforward technical issues and escalates to technical leads as necessary. Adapts to significant changes and setbacks in order to manage pressure and meet deadlines. Gathers, integrates, and interprets information from a variety of sources in order to troubleshoot issues and find solutions. Detects bugs in the "system under test" and resolves issues using more advanced debugging approaches. Conducts more advanced field or lab tests as directed by tech leads. Seeks opinions of others within own team about ways in which a problem can be addressed differently. The Staff Systems Quality Test Engineer performs validation of new Wi Fi features across functional, performance, and stability dimensions in system level test environments. The role includes executing interoperability (IOT) functional and performance testing using a mix of legacy and non legacy client devices to evaluate compatibility, throughput, latency, and reliability. The engineer leads Wi Fi 8 new feature validation by creating system level test plans, developing automated test cases, executing tests, and performing detailed log and packet analysis to identify defects and performance gaps. Based on test findings, the engineer provides data driven recommendations to design and development teams to enhance system performance, robustness, and feature implementation. Acts as a strong contributor at design reviews and project meetings and communicates and implements a development plan.

Will accept a Master's Degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related degree field.

Pay Range: $147,024.00 - $216,600.00/year
