You will be joining our Digital Solutions Custom Development team that enhances and customizes several Digital Solution applications. As a Staff Engineer for the Custom Development team, you will work on a cross functional/disciplined team supporting our application. Our team is highly distributed, meaning you will work with kind, talented engineers from across various locations within the U.S. You'll get the chance to contribute to products that are used by hundreds of thousands of people.
This position may be worked remotely within the United States, with the exception of California.

What you'll be responsible for:
• Establish and review business and technical requirements and overall project plans to define or refine standards with the newest development and deployment practices as well as facilitate the transfer of knowledge throughout the development staff.
• Collaborate with developers from other teams, QA/BA, operations, and management to provide technical direction in requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Perform complex product technical designs, prototyping, software development, bug verification and resolution.
• Collaborate with other engineers to propose and execute strategies, ideas, technologies, and coding standards to ensure enterprise level products.
• Adequately establish yourself as a technical leader through building strong relationships based on open communication that can be recognized as a thought leader both internally and externally of your team.
• Act as lead on projects related to Treasury Management (TM), custom Single Sign-Ons (SSO), Plugins (stand-alone web servers/services) and internal/external APIs to provide our customers and vendors with custom functionality as well as look and feel within our online and mobile banking products.
• Support custom applications and frameworks including incident response, log analysis, metric, and alert monitoring.
• May perform other job duties as assigned.
What you'll need to have:
• Minimum 9 years of professional/educational technical experience in full life cycle software development/engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of experience with C# to include project creation, testing, and deployment.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with API's/Web Services.
• Experience with design patterns and/or SOLID principles.
• Experience with analysis/design at multiple project/multiple environment level.
• Experience in providing technical guidance to other developers .
What would be nice for you to have:
• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science.
• Experience with GCP (Google Cloud Platform) or other cloud technologies.
• Experience with Docker, Jenkins, Kubernetes, GitHub, and Node.js/Typescript.
• Experience tracing a request through the network stack and logs in various other systems.
• Experience with APIs and Middleware.
• Experience with SSOs, Encryption, or Plugins.
• Experience with security and systems that handle sensitive data.
