What you'll do- Build connectors for legacy ETL platforms, databases, and modern cloud data systems.
- Parse XML, SQL, repository exports, scripts, and vendor-specific formats.
- Turn extracted metadata into accurate lineage and dependency models.
- Create automated tests and known-good datasets to verify connector accuracy.
- Improve the connector framework with our Principal Architect and document reusable patterns.
- Integrate AI into your daily development workflow to accelerate reverse engineering, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
What we're looking for- Strong data engineering, metadata, or systems integration experience.
- Hands-on work with ETL platforms, SQL parsing, data lineage, or transformation logic.
- Experience reverse engineering unfamiliar or poorly documented systems.
- Comfort working in TypeScript and building automated tests.
- Well-versed in AI-assisted software development, with demonstrated experience embedding AI tools into the development process rather than using them occasionally.
- A bias for shipping quickly, testing thoroughly, and fixing errors rather than explaining them away.
Nice to have- Experience with Informatica PowerCenter, DataStage, Talend, SSIS, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of graph models, OpenMetadata, OpenLineage, compilers, or parsers.
- Experience delivering software into regulated or security-reviewed environments.

The compensation range for this position represents our good faith estimate of the range we reasonably expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered will be determined based on factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, education, work location, and internal equity.
In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses, commissions, or other incentive programs, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, etc.
Estimated Compensation Range:
$180,000-$225,000 USD
