Position Summary:CVS Health is seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer to design, develop, and implement digital solutions and systems by applying advanced technical expertise to architect and code software applications, conduct system testing and debugging, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the overall technical direction and innovation of digital engineering projects.
This position will lead operational excellence through automation and reliability improvements by driving root-cause resolution and enhancing observability. You will serve as the technical lead for complex production issues, establishing operational best practices, and ensuring applications meet availability, compliance, audit, and supportability standards.
Required Qualifications:- 7+ years of relevant experience in one of the following: C/C++ and/or .NET
- 3+ years of experience with Linux/Windows environments and GitHub
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience developing, troubleshooting and maintaining high-performance applications
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve issues, with focus on performance, stability, and reliability
- Solid foundation in object-oriented programming, data structures, memory management, and multithreading
- Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) preferred
- Familiarity with healthcare claims processing, adjudication, or pricing systems
Education:- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)
Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:
$118,450.00 - $236,900.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
