Full Job Description
Some Typical Duties & Responsibilities Include:

SRTE Quality Assurance Engineers perform a multitude of functions to ensure quality standards are maintained within nuclear facilities. They ensure products, services, or processes meet established NQA-1 quality standards and NNSA customer requirements.
• Serves as cognizant quality function (CQF), after qualification period
• Reviews and approves procurement and engineering documentation
• Review and approval of work order documentation
• Independently performs internal assessments
• Participates in corrective action processes
• Provides analytical support for production processes
• Software Quality
• Commercial Grade Dedications
• Material & Test Equipment and others
• Facilitate vendor oversight and audits
• Supports nonconformance item control and reporting processes

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics field plus at least two years of experience (YOE) in a relevant role, OR Master's degree in relevant field

Discipline Description

Quality Engineering personnel apply engineering principles to ensure products and processes meet quality standards. They design and implement quality control systems, develop test methods and protocols, and analyze engineering data to identify defects and areas for improvement. They ensure compliance with internal and external regulations, requirements, and contribute to continuous engineering improvement of quality systems and methodologies.

Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS) is a joint venture between Fluor Corporation, Newport News Nuclear and Honeywell, responsible for the management and operations of the Department of Energy's Savannah River Site.
