Job Summary:

Supermicro is seeking an experienced Sr. Technical Project Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for driving project management and customer coordination for strategic customers.

You will serve as the primary point of contact for tracking requests, managing pending issues, ensuring schedule adherence, and coordinating resources. The ideal candidate is a strong organizer and communicator who can bridge technical teams and customers, facilitate on-site support when needed, and continuously improve service delivery.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the main project coordinator for strategic customers, tracking all requests, pending issues, and deliverables to ensure timely progress and resolution.
  • Monitor project schedules, consolidate status updates, and provide clear reporting to both internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Conduct regular customer satisfaction surveys and feedback sessions to identify areas for improvement and strengthen relationships.
  • Coordinate on-site support and cross-functional rapid response team deployments, including travel when required, to manage critical situations and ensure successful outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement during on-site activities and collaborate with technical teams to define and implement enhancement plans.
  • Manage resources effectively, including manpower allocation and hardware requirements from headquarters, to support customer projects.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between ETF engineers, PM, Service, FAE, Rack, and RD teams to drive efficient issue resolution and project delivery.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, dashboards, and status reports to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Identify potential risks, bottlenecks, and process improvement opportunities to enhance overall service quality and efficiency.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
  • 6+ years of project management or technical account management experience, preferably in data center or server/system industry.
  • Strong understanding of technical concepts (server systems, validation, deployment, software/firmware management) to effectively interface with engineering teams and customers.
  • Ability and willingness to travel for on-site customer support when required.
  • Proven experience managing customer projects, tracking issues, and coordinating cross-functional resources.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with project management tools (Jira, Microsoft Project, or similar) and customer satisfaction measurement.
  • Software or firmware management experience is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to drive projects under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
