Sr. Technical Program Manager, Alexa For Shopping (Rufus) We are looking for a Sr. Technical Program Manager who will own the telemetry and data architecture that powers measurement, attribution, and data-driven decision-making across Alexa for Shopping. This is a foundational role: you'll design and deliver scalable data systems and internal data products that enable the organization to quantify the economic value of shopping experiences and optimize content placement across channels. Your responsibilities will include collection of business requirements, writing specifications, and driving economists, data and software engineering teams for measure economic value of various actions, building scalable infrastructure, identifying bottleneck and driving them to closure. Key job responsibilities Own telemetry and data architecture end-to-end - define the instrumentation strategy, data pipelines, and measurement frameworks that span both customer-facing signals (engagement, conversion, shopping intent) and backend system telemetry (latency, availability, reliability). Build scalable data systems and internal data products - drive the design and delivery of infrastructure that supports high-volume telemetry ingestion, real-time and batch processing, attribution models, dashboards, and self-service analytics for partner teams. Define and measure shopping missions - own the frameworks that capture how customers navigate multi-turn shopping journeys (browse, compare, purchase, reorder) across Alexa surfaces, enabling the organization to understand mission completion, drop-off, and long-term engagement patterns. Drive conversational analytics - build the telemetry and measurement systems that quantify how customers interact with Alexa's conversational shopping experiences, including intent recognition quality, dialogue effectiveness, and conversion through natural language interactions. Lead cross-functional programs spanning 10-20+ teams - coordinate across engineering, economics, data science, and product organizations to deliver multi-year programs from scoping through launch. Influence technical trade-offs - leverage your engineering background to make sound architectural decisions and guide teams toward the right solutions. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 5+ years of technical product or program management experience - 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience - 3+ years of software development experience - 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience - Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules - Knowledge of data engineering pipelines, cloud solutions, ETL management, databases, visualizations and analytical platforms PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience - Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules - Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership - Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines - Experience with conversational AI and Agentic AI products The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
