This is where you and your skills come in. We’re currently looking for Sr. Strategic Procurement Manager.
Experience in Category 1, plus at least one of Categories 2–4, is required.
Category 1: Core Sourcing & Indirect Sourcing
Lead sourcing and vendor management for technology and indirect spend categories, including software, hardware, and professional services.
Develop and execute category strategies that balance cost, quality, and risk.
Demonstrated success negotiating double-digit-million-dollar annual savings across an Indirect vendor portfolio.
Category 2: Strategic Cost Optimization & Procurement Project Owner
Design and lead enterprise-wide cost optimization programs across multiple spend categories.
Build business cases and savings-tracking mechanisms to quantify procurement impact.
Manage complex, cross-functional sourcing programs from initiation through execution.
Partner with Finance to validate and report on savings realization.
Category 3: Marketing & Agency Spend Management
Manage sourcing and vendor relationships for marketing, creative, and agency spend.
Negotiate agency contracts, media commitments, and performance-based terms.
Category 4: Go-to-Market (GTM) & Balance of Trade Programs
Support sourcing strategies tied to go-to-market initiatives and channel partnerships.
Manage balance-of-trade programs, including reciprocal vendor commitments.
Job Responsibilities:
Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to stakeholders across the business, aligning procurement strategy with organizational priorities.
Balance competing stakeholder demands and business priorities while maintaining procurement rigor and consistency.
Lead high-stakes negotiations with vendors across major spend categories — including technology, Marketing, BPO, Facilities, and HR — to secure favorable commercial terms, pricing, and risk protections.
Partner cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, IT, and business unit leaders to drive procurement initiatives forward, ensuring adherence to procurement policies and compliance requirements.
Apply analytical and AI-driven tools to build dashboards and reporting that improve procurement visibility, efficiency, and decision-making, and serve as a go-to resource for other business units evaluating and selecting AI tools for their own operations.
To succeed in this role you must have experience in:
8+ years of progressive indirect procurement experience, with a strong track record in strategic sourcing and vendor negotiation.
Proven experience designing and leading a formally chartered, executive-sponsored cost optimization program — a named initiative tracked against defined milestones and reporting to CFO or finance leadership from initiation through full implementation, not an ad hoc or informal savings effort.
Proven ability to lead complex, high-value negotiations with technology and services vendors, including demonstrated success negotiating double-digit-million-dollar annual savings across a vendor portfolio.
Demonstrated executive presence and gravitas, with a track record of holding firm on commercial terms under pressure, even in adversarial negotiation settings.
Strong analytical skills, including experience implementing or leading AI-enabled procurement tools to build dashboards and compelling business cases, and advising other business units on selecting and adopting AI tools for their own operations.
Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing senior leaders across functions.
Experience developing and executing category strategies in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in management consulting or a strategic advisory role.
Consulting-caliber communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with experience building board-level materials and trust across all levels of the organization.
Hands-on experience with procurement and ERP tools (e.g., NetSuite, Pigment, Oracle).
What we offer:
Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance
Health Savings Account (HSA), Flexible Spending Account (FSAs) and Commuter benefits
401K match and ESPP
Paid time off and paid sick leave
Paid parental and pregnancy leave
