Position Overview We are seeking a Sr. Staff Technical Program Manager to serve as both Chief of Staff & Technical Program Manager to our Sales Engineering VP. This is a force-multiplier role spanning strategy, operations, and delivery across a ~260-person organization.
This is a hybrid position, requiring on-site presence 2-3 days a week at one of the following locations: Palo Alto, CA; Seattle, WA.
Chief of Staff Organizational leadership - Own the operating system of the Sales Engineering org
Own the operating cadence - staff meetings, business reviews, planning rituals, Townhalls, and people and communications mechanisms
Build and maintain dashboards and reporting that give the VP and leadership a single trusted view of organizational health, delivery, and risk
Run the rhythm of business across the leadership team, ensuring goals, metrics, and commitments are visible, current, and on track
Manage the leadership team's priorities and time horizon, protecting focus on the highest-leverage work and preventing organizational thrash
Oversee budget planning and management, ensuring financial resources are allocated effectively across the organization
Plan and allocate resources effectively across project demands and organizational goals
Drive clear, consistent internal communications - keeping the org aligned and informed
Technical Program Manager Engineering execution - Lead cross-functional engineering initiatives end to end
Lead highly cross-functional engineering initiatives - on time, within scope, within budget - through influence without direct authority. Work closely with other TPMs to ensure initiative success & KPIs are met.
Identify, track, and manage dependencies across multiple projects to mitigate risk and ensure seamless execution
Collaborate with engineering, product management, and other cross-functional stakeholders to drive alignment and successful outcomes
Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impact delivery, implementing solutions efficiently
Provide strategic direction to the program management team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
Requirements: Experience 10+ years in technical program management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
Proven track record managing large-scale engineering projects through development, testing, and deployment
Experience operating as a Chief of Staff or in a similar executive-support function within a large organization
PMP, PgMP, or similar certifications are a plus
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (computer science) or equivalent experience
Core Skills Strong understanding of program and project management methodologies
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including executive-level communication
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive outcomes through influence without direct authority
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach
Demonstrated expertise in engineering execution: development, testing, and deployment of technical solutions
Ability to manage organizational operating rhythms: goal tracking, dashboards, planning cycles, and budget management

Annual Salary$130,000.00 - $260,000.00
The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate's work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
