Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or a related field
- 8-10 years of experience in software development with progressive architecture responsibilities, including managing architecture across an enterprise application portfolio
- Strong knowledge of API design, microservices architecture, event-driven patterns, MCP servers, and cloud-native design principles including container orchestration with Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift; experience with AI tooling such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, and Microsoft Copilot
- Solid understanding of security architecture principles including threat modeling, secure-by-design practices, and regulatory compliance
- Proficiency in solution architecture frameworks and methodologies such as TOGAF or the Zachman Framework, with demonstrated ability to define scalable, reliable, and cost-effective solutions
- Experience with performance engineering, cost optimization strategies, and defining and validating non-functional requirements across enterprise-scale applications
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using Codefresh or similar tools
- Experience with application development technologies including Node.js, Grails, Vue, and Angular
- Experience with database management systems including Oracle, Postgres, and MongoDB
- Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills with a proven ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences and collaborate across cross-functional teams
- Proficiency with architecture documentation tools such as Lucid Charts and ServiceNow for maintaining architecture decision records, capability models, and system design artifacts; experience working in Agile environments with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of the salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $125,000 to $155,000 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that are not included in the base pay.

Sr. Solutions Architect Successful candidates will have deep experience in solution architecture and enterprise application design and will be responsible for defining and maintaining application architecture across the quoting, catalog, and pricing portfolio. The ideal candidate is a trusted technical leader who ensures consistency, scalability, and alignment with organizational standards while driving security architecture, cloud-native strategies, and operational resilience across the enterprise application portfolio. They collaborate with stakeholders, engineering teams, product owners, and business leadership to translate business requirements into scalable, secure technical solutions. The employee will leverage AI tools as part of their daily workflow to enhance design exploration, documentation, code review, and overall productivity.
Responsibilities: - Define and maintain application architecture across the quoting, catalog, and pricing portfolio, ensuring consistency, scalability, and alignment with organizational standards
- Collaborate with stakeholders and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions, defining both functional and non-functional requirements (NFRs) including scalability, high availability, performance, and security
- Design and govern API contracts and integration patterns to ensure seamless interoperability across the enterprise application portfolio
- Lead security architecture practices including threat modeling, compliance adherence, and secure-by-design principles across all applications
- Drive cloud-native and containerization strategies, guiding modernization and migration efforts across the application portfolio
- Oversee performance engineering and cost optimization, ensuring applications meet defined NFRs and operate efficiently at scale for the daily user base
- Define and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans, establish observability and monitoring strategies across the application portfolio, and champion Infrastructure as Code practices to ensure operational resilience at scale
- Establish and enforce architecture governance practices including design reviews, architecture decision records (ADRs), and standards documentation in ServiceNow and Lucid Charts
- Mentor and provide technical leadership to engineering teams, fostering architectural best practices and continuous improvement throughout the software development lifecycle
- Communicate architectural decisions, technical roadmaps, and trade-off analyses to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through clear documentation and presentations
- Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies, frameworks, and platforms through proofs of concept (POCs) to drive innovation while managing technical risk
