About the TeamThe goal of the Portfolio and Trading teams is to translate our understanding of how the global economy works into strategy specific portfolios and execute those investment decisions with maximum precision, efficiency, and reliability.
Working alongside the Portfolio team is a uniquely talented technology group that builds and manages the platforms that allow our portfolio strategists, investors, and operations teams to create and test new portfolio strategies and logic, construct portfolios, and manifest our desired portfolios to securities we can trade in the markets.
Working alongside our Trading team are technologists who design, build, and maintain the systems that power execution, data flow, and real-time decision-making across global markets. They work closely with investors and traders to optimize performance, automate processes, and ensure the firm's strategies are implemented with speed, accuracy, and resilience.
About the RoleWe are hiring a "Sr. Software Engineer, Infrastructure" into this team, sitting at the intersection of software engineering, testing strategy, and platform architecture, with a strong emphasis on agentic development loops and minimizing latency and downtime in production.
You will own the platforms and pipelines that turn our portfolio logic into executed trades, treating infrastructure as a first-class software problem. You will be equally at home hardening production systems and building the testing environments that let engineers and autonomous agents ship changes quickly and safely, taking end-to-end ownership rather than working within a narrow, traditional IT role. Success means faster, more confident delivery for our Portfolio Implementation teams, with production latency and downtime driven toward zero.
You Will Drive the Following Responsibilities- Own critical infrastructure and application services end-to-end, from design through deployment and long-term operation.
- Build and govern the production pipelines that construct, validate, and execute portfolios, engineered for reliability and low latency.
- Design the environments and frameworks that let engineers and autonomous agents validate changes rapidly and safely.
- Accelerate agentic development loops through automation, tooling, and self-service platforms.
- Instrument systems for observability and continuously drive down latency, failure rates, and mean time to recovery.
Required Qualifications- 5+ years of strong computer science fundamentals in technically rigorous environments with a high engineering bar
- A track record of applying software engineering rigor to infrastructure, treating cloud-native development and CI/CD platforms as first-class software
- Ability to own both production pipelines and testing assets that cater to a large, diverse user base ranging from portfolio operators, investment engineers, and other software engineers.
- Full-stack application ownership, from design through long-term operation (this is not an infrastructure only role)
- Experience building highly available, performant, secure systems at scale (ability to deal with complex security architecture is mandatory)
- Exposure to, or enthusiasm for, agentic systems and autonomous delivery; excellent communication and a fit for our transparent, meritocratic culture
Location RequirementsThe anticipated onsite requirement for this role is two days per week at our Westport, CT campus.
Compensation BandThe compensation range for this role is $350K - $500K inclusive of base salary, discretionary bonus, and potential long-term incentive. The expected base salary for this role is between 50-75% of the range.
