Note: GlobalLogic estimates the starting pay range for this role to be performed hybrid in Deerfield, IL is $110,000 - $125,000 and reflects base salary only. Job Title: Sr Software Engineer - (Angular )
Location: Deerfield, IL (Hybrid)

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Angular Developer to design, develop, and maintain modern, scalable web applications supporting client and customer engagement platforms. This role demonstrates proficiency in all areas of front-end engineering with advanced, in-depth specialization in the Angular ecosystem. You will play a critical role in shaping front-end architecture, improving application performance, and ensuring delivery of high-quality, accessible, and secure user experiences used by millions of patients, pharmacists, and customers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams - product, design, QE, and back-end engineering - and mentor less experienced engineers.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of software engineering experience, at least 7 years of software engineering experience.
At least 4 years of hands-on experience building enterprise applications with Angular (v12 or later), TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3/SCSS.
Strong experience with RxJS, state management (NgRx or similar), and component-driven architecture.
Experience consuming and integrating REST APIs and working with microservices-based back ends.
Experience with unit testing frameworks and front-end test automation.
Experience with Git-based source control, code reviews, and Agile development methodologies.
Knowledge of software engineering best practices including coding standards, build processes, testing, and operations.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Azure cloud services and Azure DevOps (ADO) for boards, repos, and pipelines.
Experience in healthcare, pharmacy, retail, or other regulated, high-volume consumer domains.
Experience with micro-frontend architecture, module federation, or Nx monorepos.
Familiarity with Node.js, Java/Spring Boot back ends, or BFF (Backend-for-Frontend) patterns.
Experience with monitoring/observability tools (e.g., Dynatrace, Application Insights).
Knowledge of accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA) and security best practices (OWASP).
Experience mentoring engineers and leading front-end workstreams across distributed onsite/offshore teams.

Plan, design, develop, and test complex, responsive single-page applications (SPAs) using Angular (v15+), TypeScript, RxJS, and NgRx.
Build reusable, modular component libraries and design-system-aligned UI components ensuring consistency across digital products.
Integrate front-end applications with RESTful APIs and microservices in a cloud-native environment (Microsoft Azure).
Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and Core Web Vitals; implement lazy loading, SSR, and performance profiling.
Ensure compliance with WCAG accessibility standards and healthcare regulatory requirements (HIPAA-aware development practices).
Write and maintain unit, integration, and E2E tests (Jest/Karma/Jasmine, Cypress/Playwright); uphold code coverage and quality gates.
Participate in formal design reviews and code reviews; enforce coding standards, secure coding practices, and static code analysis remediation.
Support CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps) and collaborate with DevOps on build, deployment, and release automation.
Work in Agile/Scrum teams - sprint planning, backlog grooming, story estimation, and sprint demos.
Anticipate and prevent problems and roadblocks before they occur; mentor less experienced members of the team.
Collaborate with onsite and offshore teams to ensure aligned, high-velocity delivery.
