Senior Technical Recruiter

Position Summary

Sustainable Talent is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Recruiter to support hiring initiatives within our Energy division, focused on accelerating U.S. energy independence through advanced energy storage and manufacturing technologies.

This role will serve as a strategic talent advisor responsible for identifying, attracting, and hiring top technical talent across engineering, manufacturing, operations, and corporate functions. The ideal candidate brings a strong technical recruiting background, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

The Senior Technical Recruiter will partner closely with hiring managers, business leaders, and HR teams to develop talent strategies, drive hiring execution, and build robust pipelines for critical positions.

Key Responsibilities

Full-Cycle Technical Recruiting
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from intake through offer acceptance and onboarding.
  • Recruit for a variety of technical and engineering roles, including:
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Manufacturing Engineering
    • Controls & Automation Engineering
    • Quality Engineering
    • Industrial Engineering
    • Software & Systems Engineering
    • Program and Project Management
  • Conduct candidate assessments and interviews to evaluate technical capabilities, experience, and cultural alignment.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies to identify both active and passive talent.

Strategic Talent Partnership
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand business objectives, workforce plans, and hiring priorities.
  • Lead intake meetings and provide market intelligence regarding talent availability, compensation trends, and competitive hiring landscapes.
  • Act as a trusted advisor throughout the hiring process, providing guidance on candidate evaluation and selection.
  • Influence hiring decisions through data-driven insights and talent market expertise.

Talent Pipeline Development
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for critical and hard-to-fill technical positions.
  • Conduct market mapping, competitor analysis, and targeted sourcing campaigns.
  • Leverage multiple sourcing channels including LinkedIn Recruiter, networking, referrals, professional associations, and industry events.
  • Develop proactive talent communities to support future hiring needs.

Stakeholder & Candidate Management
  • Deliver a high-touch candidate experience from initial outreach through onboarding.
  • Facilitate interview scheduling, feedback collection, offer negotiations, and closing activities.
  • Maintain regular communication with hiring leaders regarding pipeline health, candidate progress, and hiring risks.
  • Ensure compliance with recruiting processes and documentation requirements.

Recruiting Operations & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate candidate records within ATS and CRM systems.
  • Track recruiting metrics including time-to-fill, pipeline conversion rates, and offer acceptance rates.
  • Identify opportunities to improve recruiting efficiency, candidate experience, and hiring outcomes.
  • Support workforce planning and hiring forecast initiatives.

Qualifications

Required
  • 6+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience with a strong focus on technical and engineering recruiting.
  • Experience recruiting for engineering, manufacturing, energy, industrial, automotive, technology, or related industries.
  • Proven success sourcing and hiring passive technical talent.
  • Strong understanding of technical skill sets, engineering disciplines, and organizational structures.
  • Experience partnering directly with hiring managers and senior business leaders.
  • Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple requisitions and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience utilizing ATS, CRM, and sourcing platforms.

Preferred
  • Experience supporting manufacturing facilities, energy organizations, battery technology, renewable energy, or industrial operations.
  • Experience recruiting for startup, high-growth, or greenfield operations.
  • Background supporting hourly, professional, and leadership-level hiring.
  • Experience with workforce planning, talent mapping, and strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Knowledge of labor market trends within engineering and advanced manufacturing sectors.
