Job Summary:

Supermicro is seeking an experienced Sr. Product Manager to lead the definition, architecture, and delivery of next-generation AI infrastructure solutions.

This role is responsible for developing complete rack-scale AI systems based on the latest GPU platforms, integrating compute, storage, networking, power distribution, liquid cooling, mechanical design, and manufacturing into deployable data center solutions.

The ideal candidate is a systems thinker who understands not only servers, but also how an entire AI cluster is designed, built, validated, shipped, and deployed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities
  1. Product Definition
  • Define next-generation AI rack products based on NVIDIA, AMD, and future accelerator platforms.
  • Translate customer requirements into complete rack-level solutions.
  • Drive product roadmap and feature planning.
  • Balance performance, cost, manufacturability, and deployment requirements.
  1. Rack Solution Architecture

Own the overall rack architecture, including:

  • Rack mechanical layout
  • GPU and CPU server integration
  • Network topology and switch placement
  • Cable routing and serviceability
  • Rack level power architecture
  • Liquid cooling architecture
  • Rack serviceability and field maintenance
  1. Customer Solution Development
  • Work directly with hyperscale and enterprise customers to define AI infrastructure solutions.
  • Review customer requirements and recommend optimized rack architectures.
  • Conduct technical design reviews and solution discussions.
  • Support customer qualification and deployment activities.
  1. Cross-functional Leadership

Lead cross-functional collaboration with:

  • Mechanical Engineering

Drive engineering decisions across multiple organizations.

  • Own rack BOM definition and configuration management.
  • Drive prototype builds and engineering validation.
  • Coordinate mechanical fitting tests and system integration.
  • Review packaging, logistics, and shipment readiness.
  • Support manufacturing transfer and mass production.
    Technical Knowledge

  • Direct Liquid Cooling (DLC)

  • OCP/Open Rack standards
  • Rack validation and manufacturing


Salary Range

$155,000 - $185,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
