Position: Senior Product Manager, OXO

Department: Product Development

Work Location: New York, NY Hybrid (work 3 days onsite)

Hybrid Schedule: At Helen of Troy, we embrace a flexible hybrid work model designed to support collaboration and productivity. For roles eligible for hybrid work, our standard schedule includes in-office collaboration from Tuesday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Any updates to this model will be communicated in advance. Please note that hybrid eligibility and schedules may vary based on business needs and manager expectations.

What you will be doing:

The Senior Product Manager will be an authority within OXO product development and on the electric kitchen appliances. You will independently plan and drive a major sub-category of this business and develop a product strategy to ensure financial goals are met.

You are, or you will become, a specialist in the category and have an in-depth understanding of consumer behavior in the space. You will also have complete knowledge of competitor products, pricing and features. By using market research, product research, product testing, pricing and competitive analysis you will develop a strategic vision for the category. You will identify new product opportunities that are compelling to customers and consumers and on brand, building out a product development pipeline that will contribute to team revenue, and positively impact on the company's overall financial goals.

This person will work closely with Product Engineers to identify and avoid product development risks and ensure that products in the pipeline are brought to market on schedule, meeting all landmark goals and are completed within budget. When changes occur, you will communicate schedule, quality and cost updates to partners and clearly communicate remaining risks.

You'll collaborate across all levels of marketing, brand design and sales about product features and benefits to help facilitate effective messaging and with the sourcing, operations and logistics teams to efficiently bring products to market. You will be able to sell your products to internal partners as well as external buyers and vendors.You will lead and mentor the team and provide insight and guidance into category strategy, resulting in tools that make everyday living better for millions of people.

  • Strategic business planning for a major category of business including meeting financial goals (revenue and margin) and day to day category management.

  • Planning a product pipeline, seeing opportunities and executing a long- and short-term strategic vision.

  • Project managing products in your pipeline to deliver products on time and quality.

  • Cross-functionally build consensus around long and short-term product development strategies.

  • Building positive relationships with key vendors, strategic customers and industry partners.

  • Product Line Maintenance, responding to quality concerns, participating in cost negotiations and identifying and implementing product refreshes.

  • Participate in companywide initiatives to improve processes, functions, communications, and company culture.

Skills needed to be successful in this role:

  • Strong analysis ability relating to product lines and product line planning, profit margins, business trends, market segmentation, market research, and opportunity assessment.

  • Hands-on research, product evaluation, testing, and user-validation skills.

  • Strong project management and people leadership.

  • Able to lead and influence resources.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Self-motivated, able to prioritize and meet project timelines.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor27s Degree.

  • 6+ years of prior experience in product development.

  • Consumer Electrics industry knowledge.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • Knowledge of Agile, Basecamp or other project management software.

  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with electric kitchen appliances.

In New York, the standard base pay range for this role is $114,882 - $135,000 annually. This base pay range is specific to New York and may not be applicable to other locations. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to location, experience, skill level, and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
