About the Role

Jeppesen ForeFlight is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Product Manager to lead our flagship navigation focused flight deck EFB product line. This individual will define and drive the strategy for Jeppesen ForeFlight's flagship product, FliteDeck Pro, that services the commercial and business aviation markets. The ideal candidate brings firsthand experience with aviation, developing mobile solutions, data and systems integration, and AI. This is a critical, high-visibility role that will directly shape how major carriers around the world modernize their flight operations through the Electronic Flight Bag.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Navigation capabilities within the Flite Deck platform, spanning enroute and terminal charts, moving map, route planning, and procedure (SID/STAR/approach) selection
  • Research and create product requirements and prototypes; work with engineering and design to bring navigation capabilities from discovery through delivery
  • Conduct deep discovery with airline customers and prospects to understand their flight-deck navigation workflows, pain points, and requirements-translating operational realities into actionable product specifications
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with sales, engineering, QA, and marketing to ensure navigation capabilities meet customer needs and market opportunities
  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert on aeronautical navigation data and regulatory standards (ARINC 424, FAA AC 120-76/EASA, etc. EFB guidance), advising engineering teams on compliance and interoperability requirements
  • Identify market potential, establish pricing and go-to-market strategies, and build the business case for navigation as a product line
  • Participate in overall product strategy and development coordination for new and emerging navigation capabilities, including tailored/fleet-specific data, and multi-platform (iOS, Windows) delivery
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop materials and strategies that accurately reflect the navigation value proposition; partner with sales on customer messaging and competitive positioning against other EFB solutions
  • Develop and track metrics - feature adoption, and customer satisfaction - to evaluate navigation product effectiveness and customer value; identify and promote new ideas for continuous improvement
  • Lead and participate in the development of navigation and moving-map user experience design efforts; identify and submit IP/Invention disclosures as applicable


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical, aviation, business, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 7+ years of product management experience in aviation software, avionics, connected-device products, or another safety-critical environment
  • At least 2+ years of experience managing a navigation, flight-planning, moving-map, or related aviation capability
  • Direct experience working with or supporting airline or business aviation flight operations, dispatch, or flight standards teams
  • Hands-on familiarity with Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) navigation functionality, including enroute and terminal charts, moving maps, route/SID/STAR selection, and terrain, obstacle, or weather overlays
  • Demonstrated experience taking software products from discovery and concept through launch, adoption, and post-launch iteration, using analytics to measure customer and business impact
  • Experience operating in regulated, safety-critical product environments, including change control, verification and validation, and coordination with certification or airworthiness stakeholders
  • Familiarity with geospatial and mapping technologies, including GIS, moving-map rendering, GPS, and ADS-B position sources
  • Proficiency with product management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Aha!, Productboard, and Confluence, with the ability to review technical specifications, API documentation, and data schemas
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical, customer, and regulatory requirements into clear product requirements and prioritized roadmaps
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills, with demonstrated ability to align engineering, UX, sales, and regulatory/compliance teams
  • Ability and willingness to travel to customer sites, flight operations centers, and industry events as needed


Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree, such as an MBA or technical graduate degree
  • Working knowledge of aeronautical data formats, standards, and regulatory guidance relevant to EFB navigation products, including FAA AC 120-76 and applicable EASA EFB guidance
  • Background in aviation, airline cockpit or ground environments, EFB platforms, or avionics
  • Pilot certificate (Private Pilot or higher) or equivalent flight-deck experience
  • PMP, CSPO, or equivalent product or project management certification


Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well market and business considerations: Summary Pay Range: $163,000-$200,000
