Northrop Grumman's Corporate Chief Information & Digital Office (CIDO) is seeking a Senior Principal Software Development Analyst to support the Engineering & Manufacturing Solutions (EMS) organization.

The selected candidate will act as Teamcenter Deployment Admin / Container Platform Engineer supporting PLM (Teamcenter) platform deployment and administration, with a strong focus on modern software delivery using containerization and Kubernetes/OpenShift. The position partners with software teams to design, deploy, secure, and operate Teamcenter environments on Red Hat Enterprise Linux and in container platforms, enabling reliable CI/CD pipeline-driven delivery.

This position will be virtual/remote and can be performed anywhere within the continental United States. Teleworking arrangements are subject to change based on the needs of the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer and deploy Teamcenter/PLM environments, including installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and environment lifecycle management (Dev/Test/Prod).
  • Build and maintain containerized deployment patterns (e.g., Docker/OCI images), and support runtime operations on Kubernetes/OpenShift.
  • Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, security scanning, and deployment activities.
  • Operate and troubleshoot Red Hat Linux-based infrastructure supporting PLM deployments (system services, storage, networking fundamentals, automation).
  • Implement operational best practices (monitoring, logging, backup/restore coordination, incident triage, performance tuning, documentation).


Basic Qualifications:
  • 8 Years of relevant experience with a Bachelors in Science; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD.
  • Experience administering and deploying Teamcenter (PLM) environments.
  • Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux system administration in a deployment/operations context.
  • Experience deploying and operating applications on Kubernetes and/or Red Hat OpenShift.
  • Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for software delivery (build/release/deploy automation).
  • Experience with containerization concepts and workflows (building images, registries, runtime configuration).


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Hands-on experience implementing GitOps-style deployments (e.g., ArgoCD) and/or Infrastructure-as-Code.
  • Experience with security scanning and hardening of containerized workloads and deployment pipelines.
  • Experience supporting regulated or security-focused environments and change-controlled production deployments.

Primary Level Salary Range: $129,300.00 - $193,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
