Director, Media Strategy & Planning position, you will partner with clients to bring a marketing strategy to life, develop and optimize highly-effective media plans, and grow a multi-national team. This role will support one of our major technology clients, and will partner with cross-functional leaders to create AI-empowered workstreams.

At this time, Monks offers a hybrid in-office / remote policy dependent on the candidate's proximity to an office, team, and other business needs. General health and safety considerations are under constant review, with individual cases addressed as they arise.
Responsibilities: - Lead the client relationship for a growing piece of business, interfacing with senior stakeholders internally and externally
- Manage and mentor a global team of media professionals, ranging from Associate Director to Buyer.
- Establish and maintain a strategic approach that bridges the gap from client goals to media delivery, including all facets of execution: strategy, execution, analytics, & creative
- Understand and enforce best practices. This is not sharing partner responses, but a learned expectation of how media should run and perform.
- Develop thoughtful media plans that include Google (Search, YouTube, PMax), Social (Meta, TIkTok, LinkedIn, etc.), and other digital channels (CTV, Direct, Programmatic)
- Participate in Team Leadership, driving the direction of the larger Media Department.
- Partner with cross-functional teams that include Comms Plannings, Strategy, Creative, Social, Analytics, and AI-Enablement
About You The essentials: - 9-12+ years of digital marketing leadership with deep expertise across the Google stack, major social platforms (Meta, LinkedIn, X, TikTok), and programmatic media.
- Strong communication skills required, with proven experience presenting to clients and vendor partners
- Proven leader in full-lifecycle digital campaign management, from strategy and planning to execution and insightful reporting
- Experience managing a team that includes multiple levels of contributors
- Highly skilled in driving effective cross-functional communication, ensuring alignment and synergy within a fast-paced, energetic team environment
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with a proven ability to articulate and present complex data insights clearly and compellingly to clients
- Proven strategic capabilities, consistently translating complex challenges into innovative recommendations, robust action plans, and campaigns that drive ROI
- A proven entrepreneurial mindset, adept at spearheading initiatives and strategies that accelerate the organization's growth trajectory
Plus:
- Undergraduate degree required.
- Buying Platform certifications will be taken into consideration.
- Proficiency with digital Ad Servers, advanced campaign optimization platforms, and online tracking solutions, particularly Google Analytics, is a distinct advantage

Monks has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what Monks may pay for the position at the time of posting. Monks may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on job-related factors, but not based on a candidate's sex or any other protected status.
Salary Range: $80,000-$90,000 USD
