As we continue to grow our teams, we urge you to be cautious of fraudulent job postings or recruitment activities that misuse our company name and information. Please protect your personal information during any recruitment process. About the Role
This role sits at the intersection of commercial leadership, growth, and data-led client transformation within Monks, leading a team of ~200 talents and an expert first-line team of operationally and technically strong leaders.

As the executive lead of this group, you will own the front-end go-to-market thinking, drive overall Media Acceleration, and synthesize our go-to-market narrative across individual and combined strategic services. You will hold complete strategic and financial accountability, stepping into high-stakes client conversations to cross-sell our portfolio.

While deep technical platform execution is already covered by your expert first line, you must bring the commercial and financial acumen required to scale a multi-unit business encompassing three core pillars:
  • Resale & Activation: Focused on navigating complex global platform partnerships (e.g., Google, Amazon, TTD), scaling platform seat ownership, and driving unified media buying execution through both self-serve and managed services.
  • Transformation: Our strategic advisory unit that consults enterprise brands on their media maturity journeys, designs process restructuring, and pilots embedded "in-housing" models to bridge the gap between content and media.
  • CRM: Our fast-evolving practice built to deliver holistic lifecycle marketing. This team sits at the dual intersection of email/lifecycle strategy as a high-performance channel and deep partner implementation (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Iterable, Bloomreach).
Experience Sought
  • 14+ years of leadership in media, platform, or digital transformation, specifically within performance marketing, growth marketing, or agency settings.
  • 5+ years of managing multi-unit P&Ls with direct financial accountability, forecasting, and operational oversight.
  • A proven track record of leading large, multidisciplinary teams (100+) across media buying, client services, and strategic consulting, with direct client-facing and account ownership responsibilities.
  • Deep experience with platform resale models (e.g., GMP, Amazon, Walmart), managed services, and navigating complex Joint Business Plans (JBPs).
  • Demonstrated success integrating paid media strategy with owned channels (CRM), analytics, data engineering, and content ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with the strategic implementation of lifecycle marketing and data architectures across enterprise tools like Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Iterable, and Bloomreach.
  • A history as a primary commercial driver, stepping directly into senior sales conversations to identify, pitch, and secure high-value cross-sell opportunities.
  • An established track record of presenting complex, high-level business strategies and financial narratives to C-suite and partner-level audiences.
  • Comfort driving organizational transformation and centralization, specifically when merging siloed operations into centralized centers of excellence.
  • A strong strategic vision paired with experience creating powerful sales narratives, developing scalable financial processes, and upskilling leadership talent.
About You
  • You have already run a revenue-bearing media/performance business at scale. You have a proven track record operating at an executive level, leading a large-scale agency practice or business unit spanning specialized disciplines like Resale & Activation (R&A), Transformation, and CRM.
  • You bring a deep understanding of modern media economics and platform resale mechanics. You are an expert at partnership management and growth, with a proven ability to build and execute joint business plans (JBPs) with partners that scale revenue and drive business growth.
  • You possess exceptional operational P&L rigor and the demonstrated ability to balance financial health across distinct business units. You hold a holistic view of business performance, with the strategic acumen to effectively decide where to allocate investment for growth versus where to optimize for profitability.
  • You possess a deep understanding of true full-funnel, integrated media strategies. You are an expert at combining paid and owned channels to drive maximum efficiency and effectiveness for clients. You are adept at evangelizing this approach to clients and providing thought leadership on the topic across the organization.
  • You can prove successes in pitch contributions. You have a potent sales mindset and a track record of cross-selling. You partner seamlessly with the growth team to unlock opportunities and speak persuasively about our entire portfolio to senior stakeholders.
  • You can upskill and elevate senior talent. You can actively coach and transition practice leaders from basic resource estimation to rigorous, proactive financial forecasting.
  • You are accustomed to being the public face for a large organization. You possess the high-level strategic thinking, maturity, and executive presence required to represent a 200-person organization to both enterprise clients and the broader market.
